Things are becoming bad in both our countries, with leaders and followers trying to isolate themselves in a world economy. Too bad Hillary Clinton sucked so much. What a sad country America is so rapidly becoming.
Big business! etc.

Hmm, which ISP will I choose? The one that's going to sell my data or the one that's going to sell my data...Less government regulation allows consumers to vote with their wallet.
Oh my yes, that's why I've renewed my passport and moved all my money abroad. Just playing the waiting game now.Things are becoming bad in both our countries, with leaders and followers trying to isolate themselves in a world economy.
So when are you guys going to impeach this latest republican idiot?
I wish I even had two to choose from. I just have one that drops my packets. I'd be happy if they delivered my packets, even if it meant selling my data. I'm not doing anything secret; I just want my packets delivered FFS. Maybe Comcast will finally have an incentive to load my search results!Hmm, which ISP will I choose? The one that's going to sell my data or the one that's going to sell my data...
It's up to him to do something that warrants it. So far, he hasn't, and it doesn't look like he will, no matter how much the Democrats falsely accuse him of random stuff. He's going to just stay in office and probably eff up our country, and the Democrats are partially to blame for creating this situation.I hate Trump too but come on. If the American people have the chance to impeach the idiot, they would have. They will. But sadly, it's not up to them. It's up to the Republicans themselves, the House and Senate.
There seams to be a lot of people on here that don't understand that the law that was repealed hasn't gone into effect yet, nor do they understand SSL, nor the "black boxes" that are installed at all ISPs, nor that other laws are in place to protect you.
Getting all your news from one kind of source is a terrible idea and turns people stupid. There's nothing wrong, to say the least, with getting both sides of a story. For example, I'm not a fan of Fox News, but they report facts that MSNBC actively ignores and present opinions that MSNBC actively silences, and vice versa. You don't seem to understand how the Internet works. You shouldn't comment on things you don't know about.
At the very least, you shouldn't get your news from right-wing sources. You should only get your news from left-wing sources, since right-wing media is designed to prey on the fears of the ignorant. That's because conservatives generally have a brain designed around fear, instead of rationality. Right-wing media sources know that, and so they constantly inject you with fear-driven paranoia. This is why you probably think Muslims are more dangerous than white gun owners. Or why you think government should spend more money to stop terrorism than cancer & heart disease, even though no one dies from terrorism, and 600,000 people die from cancer and heart disease each year.

Very useless law the NSA already has your dick pic, browsing history and pretty much everything I think Trump just wanted to officially include the ISP to the party. Bush then Obama then Trump they're all watching you. Anyways I think the VPN market is about to expand big time. Kudos to David Icke who said that all politicians including Trump are puppets of the hidden hands.. anyways..we'll see
All excellent points. My big issue is #7. I'm still not sure who to trust. I've been using PIA for a while, and they seem fairly decent. But, there's always a small part of my brain saying, "Can you trust the VPN?"Bold: It will.
But, there are problems with VPN:
1. Most people don't even know what a VPN is.
2. Virtual Private Network, Virtual what most people will say!
3. Many people don't even know how to install software.
4. Setting up a VPN is possible without Software (on a Mac) but that's even more difficult.
5. When the VPN disconnects you are still connected to the internet, not secure anymore.
6. On a Mac you could use Little Snitch to disable all traffic if disconnected from VPN but that's even harder to setup.
7. Choosing a good VPN is also not that easy, some of them keep logs for instance.
If, and only if OS's make it much easier to connect to a VPN only then lots more people are going to use it, and people should be educated about security a lot more than what they know about it now.
Actually, I think it should be mandatory for the ISP's to use VPN, but that I think is a dream.
#4: Yep. OS X supports VPN out of the box, but all these VPN services for some reason make you install some stupid software instead of just giving you the L2TP credentials. Ticks me off. (BTW, not trying to do anything illegal, just wanted to have a virtual LAN for connecting computers across the Internet.)Bold: It will.

This would be great, and I personally would opt for the cheaper one that sells my data. Only thing is it's much easier said than done.Anyone who cares about this before the isp monopolies is being silly. Eliminate the isp monopolies and let the market decide if people care about their browsing date. My guess, throw a $10 bill credit out there for anyone willing to share the data and 90%+ of the people take it.
Comcast, for example, says it has "no plans" to sell individual web browsing history, while Verizon says it "does not sell the personal web browsing history" of its customers.*
Minnesota did already. And someone has collected over $100,000 to buy the web history of all politicians involved in this, in order to publish it.Can States do something about this?
Written permission if I remember correctly. I hope that would mean a written letter with a stamp on it.I think Minnesota was passing something that required permission from the customer before getting any such info. Or they had to notify them...can't remember now.
When Trump does something outrageously bad, claiming that Obama did something almost as bad is NOT a good argument. Do you want a president that is not much worse than Obama?Arguably if the rules were so necessary why did Obama wait until the end of his presidency to put them in?
It's highly ignorant to think you know someone, let alone know what they think, based on limited dialogue.
So big companies love regulations, except when they don't.
Big companies sure seem to be against regulations when it hurts their bottom line. Which kind of goes against the idea of loving it.
Again regulations can have overreach but that in no way equates them to not having their place.

There are two kinds of VPN providers: Those that keep logs, and those that lie.7. Choosing a good VPN is also not that easy, some of them keep logs for instance.
Has this administration done ANYTHING so far that is good for the common person, instead of enriching corporations and the wealthy?
Anything? It's distressing to see how completely in the pockets of big business they are. And the crazy thing is a lot of people who voted for Trump supposedly did so because they thought the *Democrats* were in the pockets of big business.
I mean, maybe they were a little bit, but nothing like this!!
No, it allows companies to do whatever they want without consequences. The previous president inherited the Great Recession cause by the same greed based policies. The key is the super rich will not be affected because they have more than they or anyone in their family can ever spend.Less government regulation allows consumers to vote with their wallet.
