Hopefully it does have 2gb. Does anyone know if the plus has safari tabs in landscape mode? If so, can you post a picture?

Yes it does.

To be honest, why should you care about available ram?

It's a great addition for computers, but having owned the 5S and every phone before it. Other than just having more ram, I've never been in a situation where I felt "wow, I'm stuck. wish I had more ram."

I'm not trying to be funny. I just have yet to come across a situation where there was tasks or applications running that pushed my device to it's limits. processor or ram.

You must not own an iPad.

All the tech sites sent their "journalists" to cover the iPhone6 and 6+ launch but the only thing they did was regurgitated whatever phil schiller said at the keynote! They seriously need to send nerds who can dig into those settings of the iPhone and learn more about them on announcement day, than to tell us - "if you are into large phones, the iPhone6+ is the best for you otherwise get the iPhone6".

Well unless Apple specifically tells them to keep shut until review embargo's come off - which is highly possible.

So with all the part leaks over the last month, we can realize most of them were correct.

This leaked about two weeks ago and another forum member was kind enough to break down how it's 2GB of RAM here.

Here's also a few sites confirming 2GB of RAM. I'm not trying to cause an argument but I really think there's 2GB of RAM in the iPhone 6 Plus, therefore adding another "better" feature to it vs the 6.

I still see no proof the 6 only has 1GB.

this cracks me up. It's going to be 1GB ram. Do you really think apple would essentially give the finger to ppl buying the 6? By in essence future proofing one phone and not the other? Makes no sense. The extra GB Is nice but by no means required..

Giving the finger to whom? It's not like they're selling the phone as the iPhone with more RAM. The vast majority of people have no clue how much RAM either will have.

That picture actually very strongly indicates the RAM is a custom 1GB piece.

With that said, pre-release boards aren't necessarily indicative of what we're getting. Remember the iPhone 4 had 512MB? Late-stage prototypes only had 256MB

Those aren't hard to fake.

Except it came out before the announcement, and is exactly in line with what Apple claimed on their CPU progression chart.

Didn't it also come from the guy that posted the YouTube video of a working 6 before the announcement?

Yes it does. Taken from iOS simulator.

EDIT: Sorry noticed someone else posted it already, too many tabs open :p

Yes. This screenshot was posted by the guy who also uploaded tons of pictures and videos. But still, I don't know why you can't find the results in the Geekbench browser. I searched for hours, but still couldn't manage to find the result online.

It needs more ram because of the resolution. The iPhone 6 will outperform the plus across the board in real world use as they both use the same processor. I am wagering that the plus will be plagued with stutters and slowdowns to some extent which won't be present in the 4.7.

Someone couldn't get the plus and settled for the little 6. 5s plus lol

Yeah, your right. I'm insecure about a phone that comes with a exchange/return period.

You can't exchange someting that's not availble till thanksgiving. :)))))

RAM and CPU don't really interest me as long as all my APPS that I need and use, run smoothly etc.

Just another good reason to choose 6+ over 6. That one extra gig of RAM is also for future-proof purposes. This is one of the same reason I might pick the Sony Xperia Z3 over the Z3 Compact. I need that extra 1 GB of RAM and bigger screen for PS4 Remote Play.

Apple's new iPhone 6/6 Plus slogan is "Bigger than Better." To me, "Bigger is Better."

Yet, I still expect many threads stating they returned the 6 Plus and got the 6 instead because they couldn't handle carrying a large phone around or whatever. I expect alot of switcheroo and buyer's remorse threads.
