Pros and Cons of a White iPad bezel

I am going with the white one, because I couldn't care less what people think about the fact that a 25 year old male has a white iPad. I would have gotten my iPhone 4 in white if it had ever come out.

I like the white but for the iPad, I'd go black. I notice that the one I own now looks real good, the screen just disappears into the bezel when watching movies and I hardly notice it at all. I may be female, but I don't buy my devices based on preconceived inane notions that white is for a woman.

Amen. As a woman, if I wanted a white iPad I'd get it. I don't. Black is my choice: I prefer it. I will not buy a specific color because someone presumes it's a woman's preference. Knowing me, if I jump, I'll choose the gray smart cover too.

I am also getting white with pink cover :) I also had a white kindle and loved the color, though I did end up selling it as I ended up getting kindle on my Blackberry and didn't need the kindle. I look forward to reading on the larger Ipad 2 screen though!

That's the right idea. Buy what you want and dont care about random Internet people white is childish/girly etc

I have a white and a black Kindle, and I prefer the white one.

I think it's ridiculous people are saying the white color looks 'feminine' or 'girlish' or 'chickish'. That's ridiculous.

You can't take a manly looking man and make him look girly because his electronics are white instead of black. Or silver. Or whatever. Grow up! :)

It's just trolls, justifying their iPad 2 black purchases.

If you feel the need to have a specific colour to make you feel like a man/woman. You need a good look in the mirror and raise that self-esteem

I don't see how white is "girly"
It's just a color.
But then again, I like when men wear pink and purple. ;)
 
I myself will be getting the White iPad. I wanted the White iPhone 4 but of course it was not available. I like the White products. They are in no way girly. White is clean and simple. Black is always nice as well. To each their own.
 
White just looks cleaner, more modern, elegantly bright, and optimistic. Black to me is dark and sinister, and kind of kitschy. Look at modern art - sculpture, furniture, overall design - white definitely over black.
 
White reflects light back making the screen appear dimmer than it is. If you like the white color and you can live with that go for it! I haven't decided yet.
 
The only reason I want a white one is to match my Wii. I would also get a blue smart cover. However I plan on getting the black one because it looks better with video. Plus when turned off, it is all black and looks more sleek. I wish Apple made different colored aluminum backs like they do with the iPod nanos…
 
Interestingly, I have a white iPhone 3gs. However on the white iphone the front face is black, so I may wind up going with black on the iPad.

It will be a bad day for me if they actually run out of white iPads on March 11.
 
Well, I do not think the white model is feminine. But, I think I will make my final decision at the store, hopefully after seeing a white unit. However, at this point it appears to be unclear whether Best Buy will carry the white model. There is no Apple Store in my area :( . Thanks for the colorful insight

Same here, all of my devices are black, so a change might be welcomed.
 
35 year old man thinking about getting the white iPad 2 won't know till I see it in person, but in all the videos I've seen white looks much better then black. I also wanted the white iPhone 4.

that being said, I am getting a white ipad, because I like the color and the fact that it's different from the "drones" black style.

I find it funny how a color as white (universal color) is being interpreted like its pink which is known as a "girly" color. Black is proffessional, I could make the same arguement and say white symbolizes purity or elegance. All of it is BS, what it all comes down to is user preference, which is why they gave you 2 universal colors, not to say one is better then the other.jeez

It's like me saying only emo kids get black ipad, sounds stupid don't you think?

at least I do..
