I don't see where not liking the Apple TV+ streaming service makes one a hater of Apple ?

I purchased an iPad Pro in September 2019 but never subscribed for the free Apple TV+. Can I still do it and get a year free? If so, how do you go about it?

If you cancel the free trial, what would you expect? How much money would you be out of? And why would it not be legal?

usually you can still use the service until the trial period ends. I literally cancel all my trials the moment after I subscribe so I don’t forget to do it later. Apple is the only exception

I never used my free year when I bought my MBP in April. I told it to never ask me again for the trial. I'm even thinking of canceling my Apple Music sub, I rarely use it anymore.

1. I still think it is a dick move that when you cancel it you loss access instantly.

2. Apple should have showed up a panel reminding everyone who signed up for "free". Instead of secretly charging them for it once it got automatically renew ( another dick move )

3. Remember there are millions of users worldwide ( With Respect to the Free Apple TV+ ). Not everyone likes Apple Original which is very much catering to American or English Speaking Audience.

4. Netflix now has a mechanism where it will automatically cancels the subscription if you have not opened up your Netflix viewing anything for three months. How about that Apple?

Reading the PSA & these responses, I haven't been able to definitively conclude whether or not a 1-year free trial is still available with the purchase of an existing iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, etc... I assume the answer is no. When I look at those products on BB.com it lists them as coming with a free 4-month sub to either Apple Music/Apple News or both. Nothing about Apple TV+.

I just haven't seen any definitive end date to when a new product could be purchased to still get the trial.

Why are the Apple One Subscription Bundles not being released to coincide with this date ? It doesn't make any sense.... I know they are coming so I will have to cancel my subscription until they do

Thank you! Cancelled. Have watched one show. Happy to do Apple One when it’s released but not paying for this.

Will probably keep it until a long way up is over. That said, we currently have the free trial on my GF iPhone 11. I'm getting a 12 mini so we can bleed another year out of it.
Sadly before "a long way up" we watched absolutely nothing on it.

When I bought my iPhone SE 2020 about 5 weeks ago I had the option to redeem the free year of Apple TV+ which I did. I had a paid subscription so in that case when the monthly subscription is due to expire the free year kicks in. I didn’t get the offer with my iPad due to the fact it can only be redeemed one time per Apple ID and I had already done so.

Will they continue to offer a free year with new purchases After Oct 31st? If so, does that mean the cost of all new apple products just had a 60 buck secret tax added?

I really don't understand their strategy with Apple TV+ or Apple Arcade. They have some people with awful ideas and taste in control of these services that are really unattractive.

I could have had both these services humming at this point! And I would have done it for half the salary!! Fire everybody and start again!!!

I’ve cancelled mine yesterday. Was due to renew in Nov 8th. I’m still able to access shows today, so it looks like access carries on until the renewal date.

i will happily subscribe again if there’s an offer or a good new series or movie launched, but it’ll be a month-on and stop. Found I have used it loads and then watched nothing for months.

I won’t subscribe and wait for weekly episodes though, I’d wait for a season finale and binge it. I’ve not enjoyed the weekly waits in certain series. I can see why they’ve done it (having less content and waiting to spread it out) but it’s not been an enjoyable experience compared to other streaming services.

might get Apple One - but not quite convinced yet.

Can you cite an example of that being the case with Apple?
I got a 6 month free trial of Apple Music and a 12 month free trial of Apple TV.

Apple Music was cancelled immediately and happily ran until the 6 months were up then ended. Apple TV doesn't allow this so I've set a Calendar entry (I don't use reminders for timed events) to remind me to cancel it, or not, before it auto-renews some time in January.

Got the Apple+ sub free with my phone last November. Haven't watched a single show and now cancelled. I already have Sky and Netflix; Apple just didn't have anything worth the effort of connecting my phone to the TV.

Cancelling. The Morning Show was pretty good (didn't finish though), but didn't check out anything else. Will consider resubscribing once Apple One comes out.

No idea. I'll keep it for this show if it isn't offered again but then it's gone. I'm not really tempted with the One subscription either given my car has Spotify built in too.

Got my iPhone 11 Nov 6th, so one month to go for me.
I'm watching 'Long Way Up' so will be keeping it for now.
