Getting mine delivered tomorrow. Actually, a lot of my friends and coworkers are excited to see it in person

Mines coming tomorrow and everyone in my office are Android fanboys. I could care less what brand other people buy, but they are insistent on telling me why their phones/tablets/laptops are better than mine. So this should be interesting.

Somebody creepy was shouting behind me at a grocery store "You have an iWatch". I was scared so I stopped and checked my heartbeat.

#### LOL

Good point though. Some how **** loads of people feel the need to call it an Apple Watch. I really don't get it because iWatch as never been written anywhere.

You know who the android users are when they see your watch and look at you in scorn and a bit of envy. :p

Personally, I hope no one notices my watch. I don't like the attention. I bought it for my own personal enjoyment. lol

Thanks for the laugh! It's the same laugh I get every time someone has asked me about my "iwatch" over the past 4 months. How dare Asus release an attractive stainless steel Android watch with universal 22mm leather watchband. My favorite part is the look on their face when you tell them it's a Zenwatch and how quickly they lose interest.

I'm excited to see how much Apple and Android push eachother to polish their software and what 3rd parties will come up with for these watches. I've had the exact same experiences as the original poster minus the Apple Pay. Leaving my phone in my pocket, controlling my car stereo, navigating with Google Maps, checking local the weather radar and checking items off my shopping list all on my wrist. It's amazing. One of those things that you can't know until you own a smartwatch. I must admit I am jealous of the whole Apple Pay system, but the best thing is being able to read a text with hands on the steering wheel and then responding by voice.

Anyways, welcome to the future guys, it's been great these past few months.

Wife and I both went many places this weekend and not a single mention. Fine with me. I have been looking too for other people and saw none with one on. I figure were good for a while.

Public awareness seems low. When I first got the iPad at least 20 people asked me about it. Maybe because tablets were kinda new. To most people this is just a watch. And how often do you notice someone's watch?

They're offended by its cost and trash its alledged battery life.

Which is fine by me. I always want my jewelry to offend people lol

I dont pay attention to what they say about it, i just measure how much they talk about it ;-)

A waiter in a cool restaurant in on launch day was keenly and genuinely interested in my bright blue watch and just made my day! He now wants one. Then today it was fabulous as I was hauling groceries in both hands at a supermarket and made a phone call via the watch because my phone was in my backpack and I needed to know if I bought everything needed for dinner. People around me looked and smiled. I felt very dick Tracy!

I plan to wear mine while asleep. I'm hearing impaired, and this might be the first alarm that can rouse me!

I am, too. For years, I've used Sonic Boom alarm clocks with the bed shaker attachment. They're also great for people with normal hearing who are heavy sleepers. They can be set to be silent (no audio alarm) and to use the bed shaker only. Some also have an AC outlet so you can plug in a lamp so that the clock can flash it.

Here's an example:

I haven't yet tried the vibrating alarm of the Apple Watch; it may be too subtle (for me) to use in this way, but I won't know until I try.

I get to use Apple Pay at Subway AND the Starbucks code in a few hours on my way to work. It will be fun to see their reaction.

Ok, back from work. My friends at Starbucks were delighted to see it work. The same at Subway.

No one noticed while I was at work which is totally fine with me.

First one to receive apple watch

laughed out loud :D :D :D

I've had friends who've been somewhat interested. Only had one member of the public say anything, and he was sitting next to me at the football. He asked how it was and then ignored my answer as he went back to the game

Sorry but something like a high end Rolex, Montblanc, Jaeger, Bulgari is a status symbol. Like a high end Mercedes, Range Rover or Bentley. Saying they will be replaced by digital watches running a gimped version of iOS is about as silly as saying Range Rovers, Bentleys and Benzs will be replaced by a Chevy Volt or a Prius because everyone is going green in the future. It's absurd.

Keep telling yourself that. With cars, they are very noticeable and many people use them as status symbols but not everyone. Usually people who really can't afford them.... Watches as status symbols, not so much because you can't really tell one from another UNLESS you are a watch person which is a very small portion of the population. Like, I never heard of Jaeger. Only reason I know of Rolex is due to 80s movies. I know Bulgari for jewelry and Montblanc, I've heard the name but I couldn't tell you what they sell.

I'll post more whenever Apple decide to despatch mine.

A coworker of mine was rocking a SS Classic Buckle yesterday. Unless you were really paying attention, it looked pretty low key. Which I think is good!

I love reading all of these different reactions!! :) Still patiently waiting for mine, SG chillin in the May bracket. #

wore mine friday - Sunday. Not one person (Other than my freinds who asked me if I got one) noted that I had it.

I sat opposite a guy this morning on the London Underground with one, a 42mm Sport with Blue strap... My reaction, while still waiting for mine to move from processing after getting my order in at 8:04 BST, was b***ard!

Hoping for some movement tonight, but highly doubt it at this rate!

Had a barista in Starbucks get excited about me paying for coffee, saying that I was the first to use a watch to get coffee!

Sadly we don't have Apple Pay in the UK yet so I will be stuck with passbook loyalty card payments until then. I can't wait for Apple Pay!

The only notice it has gotten was from the employee at the Apple Store when I went to add Apple Care+. They were excited since I was the first one to come in with one.
