My first day, I went to work to pick up my paycheck, I'd been telling my coworkers about the Watch form about 7 months, so they were actually pretty interested in seeing what is was. I got some criticism from a random onlooker who works in the deli department because "he'd never spend $10,000 on a watch" I corrected him, that it's only the $350 watch, which was also criticized as too much, before I went into full annihilation mode on him, one of my friends explained that I saved up for months (cashier), and that I have the right to spend my money how I see fit. I used Pay to buy a money order (fu**ing bills) and confused the cashier, a customer was surprised too, and wanted to know what that was, another customer informed them that it was an "iPhone Watch". I gave them a quick overview, but at that point I had to go home. Along the way I answered a call on my wrist, which caught the attention of a passerby, who said I looked like a spy, they knew what it was though. I went out to eat, and I caught the waitress looking at me glancing at the Twitter trending topics. Later two men at the bar were discussing my watch (they were wearing Moto 360's) and thought it was funny that I would buy a watch that I "couldn't even customize". I slyly showed off the different watch faces to my dinner partner, loud enough for them to hear. I don't hear them again. As I was leaving a rather drunk patron recognized the Wacth and asked to try it on. I politely told them no, and reasoned that it needed to stay on my wrist to track my vitals. He bought that, while a drunken female patron asked if there was a pink one. I told her that there were a couple of pink bands for sale, and left.
My second day was rather uneventful, I was working and showed a couple fanboys it, they were surprised by how small it was. I explained that it suits me because I have smaller wrist, so 42mm was simply too big. I showed a woman what Pay was, and showed how Hey Siri worked.
My third day, I went for a run and happened to go to a park that had a festival going on. Each time I passed through, I had to slow down so I'd look at some Glances, or see my progress, which attracted attention from plenty of people, some knew what it was, but others though I had simply bought toy from on of the booths. Once I finished, I used Hey Siri to call my mother to tell her I was coming home, and someone ran over to see if it really would do what I told it to do. He asked me what it was, when I told him one of his friends heard, and came rushing over to examine it and see if it was really an Watch. Once I confirmed its authenticity, he completely geeked out and we talked for about an hour.
Tomorrow is my first day back at school and I have fully prepared for the onslaught of questions and curiosities over its function.
