It's not a watch - it's an ultra low-powered group of sensors and a microtransmitter that affixes to the underside of *any* watch. Apple doesn't want to sell you one of them - they want to sell you one for every watch you might have (sport, fashion, luxury, etc.).

Why complete in a market with broad consumer tastes and needs when you can use the existing market to deliver your product? The Android kids have no idea what they are doing.

Where is Tuesday?! I need some high-quality photos! All these terrible ones are just about enough to make a grown man cry... Okay, maybe we're not quite there yet, but you know...

poor baby. all these blurry leak photos getting you up and now you get to spend 24ish hours with a case of blue balls?

don't forget the camera lens cover and TouchID cover ;)

I don't think anyone has. But those are much smaller pieces and often the iPhone is in a purse, pocket or case so the scratch resistant qualities haven't really had the chance for a good test. A wrist piece that is exposed constantly will be a better test.

This sounds about right to me.

pogiboi is right: clearly schematics of two different device housings, the chubby ”square” one and a circular one. Nobody else sees that?

That first image makes it look like you can press down on the middle of the screen to activate the home button. Maybe that is what they mean when they say it will be a flexible display? You can push down on the middle and that's the home button.

Had hopes? It's a blurry render on a rumours site, get real and wait until Tuesday

Well, the reason my hopes have diminished a bit (although I still have SOME... maybe I will be surprised), but for the most part, since the iPhone 4s, most of these rumors have had some accuracies to them. Parts leaks, schematics etc. That's why all the "double down on secrecy" had to be stated and everything.
So today, I would be MORE surprised if the various product leaks were wrong than I would be if they were accurate.

But then there's no reason for anything to leak of the iWatch... Apple can keep things 100% secret if they just choose to release it a few months after the announcement and keep it internal within the walls of Apple.... Just like with the first iPhone and iPad... So, I would expect leaks way before the announcement... or after it... Just not one day before it..

Ya, but nothing was really leaked about the iWatch? It very well could be that there is no iWatch tomorrow, but some other device that has similar sensors. In fact EVERYTHING about the iWatch is speculation. The iPhone 6 is pretty darn concrete. You know what I mean?

Don't forget the "TrashCanPro"! (which I love btw)

That would be pretty cool, but I don't think that's Apple's style. However, I could be proven wrong tomorrow!

I'm assuming it'll connect to your iPhone via Bluetooth. I wonder how big of a drain it'll be on battery life. Hard to believe it's going to last over a day if it's constantly connected.

Is inductive charging possible without the "charger" being plugged in? iPhone -> iWatch

I've thought about this many times. Problem is... What about the people that don't have a watch? Many people, especially youngters who grew up with their Smartphones don't have a watch anymore. So they would have to get one, before being able to use this Apple device... Thats a huge hurdle...

Not really. A lot of people didn't want phones and/or computers, as a form of feeling different. Just make it fashionable and you're all set.

Young people? Most older people don't wear watches anymore either. Not sure I want to start wearing a watch again.

So the iWatch is gonna be a thick square block like every other smart watch on the market for the last 3 years...

...exept the Moto 360, that one actually looks really nice.
The watch is so sexy, shame about the shortcuts Motorola took though. Great looking outside, ugly inside. It could have been an amazing watch if they decided to use parts that were more recent and better optimized.

So are square watches now cool if Apple does one? ;)

Regardless of it's shape, it's the functionality that I'm eager to see.

It seems odd to have a perfectly circular sensor in a rectangular housing. Why go through the engineering process of designing circular sensors to house in a rectangular form? Doesn't make a lot of sense at the moment.
