No, this thread is just a huge emo fanboy fapfest of people who have absolutely no facts or even a clue about what is happening and what's involved.
Welcome to the internet.
I want secondary confirmation of what the OP says, and I want proof that Apple is purposefully holding back Apps longer than the normal time it takes for an App to go through approval. Is 11 days longer than it normally takes? (That's an honest question)What more proof do you need?

It's not that I don't believe Apple would do this, or I'm trying to defend them I just want a secondary source before jumping to conclusions.
WeatherAlertSorry what app is this?
We have a developer who has basically put an ad for their App in the first post, claimed they received an apology from Apple for the delay in the approval processes, then claims Apple is having issues getting Apps with Push out without any real proof, so yes I will take that with a grain of salt until someone can give me confirmation of anything. So you have a developer here who has even given his app name (instead of just saying I"m a developer) and you doubt his claims?
It took Apple 11 days exactly to put the new version of Checkbook at the app store with the only change being 3.0 compliant. Nothing to do with Push.We have a developer who has basically put an ad for their App in the first post, claimed they received an apology from Apple for the delay in the approval processes, then claims Apple is having issues getting Apps with Push out without any real proof, so yes I will take that with a grain of salt until someone can give me confirmation of anything.
Seriously I must be missing something here, where does the OP give any proof? They use the time of day they got the email that Apple is having trouble and that they haven't started using their App. Again, is 11 days longer than normal for approval time of an App?

Apple haven't released any high frequency push applications. They promised push would be ready by 3.0. What other reason would they be delaying their release, especially considering their customers are becoming increasingly frustrated with their increasingly poor service..?
Clearly there are some problems which render high frequency push applications unsuitable for the public yet..
Why does it seem like we're always waiting for something?
1.0 comes out... we waited for third party apps
2.0 comes out... it's really buggy and apps crash all the time, so we waited for fixes. It wasn't very solid until 2.2
Now we have third party apps, but now we want MMS and Copy and Paste, but at least we're promised push to be released in 2 months.
2 months pass and still no push and no explanation from Apple. Almost an entire year later, they say "Sorry, you'll have to wait for 3.0 this summer for push"
3.0 gets released and we still don't have the push apps. I was set to believe that when 3.0 was released, there was going to be a flood gate opened with all the special 3.0-only apps that developers were submitting months prior to 3.0 GM. I'm still waiting for my updates and there's only been a couple of updates for my Apps and they have nothing to do with push.
Now we wait for Apple to approve push apps as well as wait some more for them to fix 3.0 bugs and I have a feeling 3.0 won't feel polished until 3.2.
All I can say is... I'm getting tired of always waiting Apple.
Just get BeeJive and then put in [number]@txt.att.net and she will get a text message when someone chats with her.I hope this comes soon. Trying to convince the wife to consider sticking with the iPhone, but all her friends have INSTANT IM clients that don't have some jacked up email work around. I can probably hold her off another week and then it's on to greener pastures for her. I've been holding her off from the Bold since the middle of May for these updates. I guess Apple wont' lose out, because she still wants a touch if we switch her.
Just get BeeJive and then put in [number]@txt.att.net and she will get a text message when someone chats with her.
Then she can bring up BeeJive and start chatting.
It is so easy and push notifications are not even needed.
What if you don't want to pay $20 a month for text messaging
As usual speculating.
What if you don't want to pay $20 a month for text messaging
No only that but the current version of beejiveim crashes ever so often on 3.0
Think about it... If there really would be these big problems with push, why are other apps that don't have push also delayed?
Maybe because NO SINGLE IM APP has come out, or high profile app, only minor stuff??? Open your eyes, stop being such a fanboy. Apple fails, sometimes.
