Tomb Raider - 8/10

The combat in the game is so much fun. While the story was alright, the things that bring it down are the reliance on quicktime events which feel so tacked on, and the enemy AI which ALWAYS knows where you are.

One of my favorite moments in the game involves a part where you are in some woods at night, and guards come looking for you. You can hear the AI clearly scream out, "Where she is?!" "I lost her!", as they are all unloading their guns at you with near unerring accuracy.

The combat, the set piece scenes they set up for that combat, and options you have for either stealth or straight up combat, really make this a very enjoyable game.

If it wasn't for the boneheaded think of Squenix management who overestimated unrealistically what the game would do sales wise, and the unnecessary crappy uncharted multiplayer ripoff tacked on, this game would have done much better. They could have had DLC that added more tombs and adventure, added a new game + mode, but they focused on unnecessary costumes, and maps for a multiplayer that many abandoned two weeks in.

Definitely pick up the game at it's reduced price, and see how bad ass a Green Arrow game would be.

PC - Snapshot 6/10

Snapshot, a game that keep me interested since the beginning, i have spend a few hours on him and is without a doubt a great game, a kind annoying on some puzzles but nonetheless is great. The OST really combine with this type of game. Also scenarios are well made, is like a 2D with a lot of colors.

Simple game but very good!

DLC Quest - 8/10

The game with most comedy that played in the last months! Damn I never laughed so much with a "DLC" like this. Well this game has an interesting concept that is talking about the DLC/Micro-transitions.

So throughout the game will appear DLC so we can progress on history and this DLC go from swords, NPC, clothes etc. .. This show how is current state of the gaming industry. The main story has to do with a hero who wants to save the princess (reminded a little Mario,by levels, princess and coins).

I highly recommend this if you want a short and fun game.

Nice job, Going Loud Studios!

Batman: Arkham City (PS3): 8.5 / 10

Great game, I thoroughly enjoyed the environment and the atmosphere. Very good production values, it looked and felt amazing. Good upgrade system as well, and tons of collectibles that kept rewarding me for every little riddler trophy/etc I found. Very good tight controls, too!

Drawbacks:

- The story was kind of all over the place, and I never really cared too much about what happened to the characters. The plot just felt like a device to somehow justify having all these different characters show up in the game. The ending did not do much for me either.

- I enjoyed the stealthy sections and also the combat system in general. But the can't-avoid mass brawls got a little tedious after a while.

The Last of Us 10/10

One of the, if not the greatest games I've ever played. Not sure if its tied yet with MGS4.

Remember Me (PS3)

Gameplay 6/10 Story 9/10 but together its a 7/10

A great story hindered by repetitive combat, frankly ridiculously boss battles that take too too long to complete and dodgy camera / platforming sections.

Memory remix is great idea and the sci-fi story and fantastic twist at the end are excellent, its just a shame the other game mechanics let it down a bit....

Definitely check it out when it's reduced though.

McPixel - 6/10

A dumb ideia on very good concept, this is way to describe McPixel. It was quite fun to play, short but decent. The game has many references to other, games, animes, movies, also has a decent OST that goes well with all the puzzles.

The game is pretty small, you can finish in 3h, also contains a DLC that will increase over your playtime. It's a very pixelated game and don't know if was just me but it cause me some headaches.

Overall if you find him on some sales buy it.

Hotline: Miami (PS Vita) 8/10

I'm currently addicted to this game oh and the soundtrack is awesome.

The Last of Us Multiplayer

Never thought I would play it but I did and I'm enjoying it...that slow paced scraping for supplies is in full force here.

Bless

Motorstorm Apocalypse - 7/10

I just achieved the platinum trophy so thought I'd share my experience. Although the story is pretty non-existent, impressive gameplay moments easily make up for this, for example driving along a highway whilst the entire city and road collapse into the ground.

The multiplayer is solid and good fun, although can become a drag and quite repetitive after 15 hours. Betting gives a competitive edge and makes that fight against you opponent just that little bit more important - and more annoying as a player crushes your bike with their monster truck.

A few other niggles prevent this from getting a higher score, such as the collectibles system in single player - you can't reverse to get them and some only become available on later laps of a race, making them even more time consuming.

Overall a worthwhile game to play, especially if you got it free on PS Plus like I did!

PC - Super Meat Boy 8/10

A quality indie game difficult but very addictive! It has a super hard levels but is a game so addictive that you don't care how hard is it. SMB has some good level design, and while the early levels are pretty easy, the game gets hard, and i mean HARD. The OST helps to relax a bit in the game, although not as good as other games.

It's a good for minutes or hours.

[PS3] - PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 6/10

Well this was my first time in this type of game, the start was to be quite nice but then begins to boring because game is too unbalanced. In terms of the rooster, is great there is lot of good character, the scenarios were also good although sometimes with a change of scenery you can lose some field of view.

PS3 - Heavy Rain 9/10

Honestly one of the best games I've ever played; incredible story and interesting controls. So nice to find a game with a good mystery that doesn't involve killing 24/7. 9/10 because I felt the game was a little short and I'm not one to replay games unless there's some kind of multiplayer component built in (alternate endings just don't do it for me).

Lots of Mario games listed here (I love them), I'll be picking up a Wii U once Nintendo brings out a Mario Kart for it :D

The Last of Us 10/10

One of the, if not the greatest games I've ever played.

This.

I wish I could go back to before I played it and play it all over again.

I bought a PS3 just so I could play that game.

Now i'm going to start working on the Uncharted series.

[PS3] Prototype 2 - 7/10

The game's events occur 14 months after the first initial outbreak of the Blacklight virus, this time we get James Heller as protagonist. His family was murder and he want revenge, he will eventually get power and his mission is to destroy Mercer.

Graphically, it is much better than the first game, and can be compared to GTA IV but with some better details; movements, city buildings, we can see they work hard on this title.

The best part, free run and powers, loved walking through NY with chopper, get a tank and destroy everything, find waves of enemies and kill all of them, very cool, there were also a few new additions such as the lairs which are underground sites where several enemies to kill. Then we got power, we have the tradition ones from the first Prototype, and then we got two new ones.

Now with came the worst part of the game, the missions was basically like this - go this place and absorb this guy, escort this person, destroy this. Was very boring!

You should buy this game? IMO yes, is much better than the first game.

Star Fox 64 3D - 6/10

Good game, based off one of my favorites from the N64, but the 3DS version's difficulty is just so horrible. They made it way too easy. I flew through the game without having played the original for years and never lost a single wing.

Mass Effect 2 [PS3]: 9.5/10

Admittedly, it was my second playthrough. And it certainly wasn't my last! :D

I think this is the best part of the trilogy. The characters, the presentation, the writing, the personality, the emotions...near perfect gaming experience!

The ending came a little abrupt, and it was a little silly at points, but that's easily forgiven and does not taint the experience. I have to deduct half a point for sound bugs though...it was quite frequent that characters' lines in dialogues were cut off. Without subtitles, it would have been hard to follow in those instances.

[PC] Team Fortress 2 - 9/10

Is a great FPS, i'm glad i have it a second change to play it. Is F2P, but no pay-to-win.
It has a very good community, great mods, and such a big variety of weapons, accessries which makes me want to play more and more.

Chess - 9.9/10

Played against computer on hard difficulty (the third out of 4 difficulties).
The gameplay is pretty tough sometimes and can get frustrating, but the process of solving different possibilities and work them out as the game goes is very interesting.

You can also change pieces, colours, the name of the players, etc.

[PS3] Saints Row: The Third - 8/10

Outrageous. Insane. Comical. These are some words to describe SR3, one of the best free-roam of this gen, and much better than GTA IV. SR3 manage to beat his ancestor SR2, in all aspects; OST, missions, weapons!

There are "hundreds" upgrades to do to our weapons, gangues, homes + side missions that increase the replay value.

During the mission i bet you will give some good laughs, dialogues are super awesome, some missions too. Main story was a bit short, but with all DLC + replay value you have a game for about +40H.

[PC] Eversion - 5/10

A 2D game very similar to Super Mario, and was a big disappointment, not much world to play on, OST was very annoying.

Controls was also a bit bad, sometimes they didn't respond on exact time and got me killed sometimes. The levels design was good, very colorful.

Crackdown 8.

A lot of fun building up my skills and all. The controls were clunky and sluggish but overall it was a great game. I just started playing it because Microsoft gave it to me for free for being a xbox live gold member.
