Bioshock infinite - 8.5

As far as FPS go, it was top notch, one of the best I've ever played, along with the first 2,but overall im sick and tired of FPS!

I'm currently playing the last of us so I'll review it when I'm done!

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag - 8.5/10

Definitely a wonderful return to what made the franchise fun, after the dull thud that was Assassin's Creed 3. The characters are fun and interesting, the naval stuff is a blast, the treasure hunting and crafting were simple but engaging. I loved the acting in this one, with James Kidd's VA being my new voice crush (don't worry Jennifer Hale... you're still the sexiest voice in gaming).

With that gushing out of the way, the social stuff (White Whales, Treasures and Fleets) are massively busted in the PS4/XB1 versions. On the PS3 I couldn't take 3 steps without finding one, on the PS4, I beat the game before finding my first. This kind of sucks, especially with UbiSoft creating the side system of ACInitiates.com and having missions requiring finding and sharing social stuff.

The ending was kind of abrupt and jarring as well. It could have worked a bit better, as well as the "modern day" part. I know the person whom you're playing is supposed to be a mystery, but jumping from 3rd person in the past, and first person in the present is kinda disconcerting.

It's definitely as fun as the Ezio trilogy, and has me excited for the future for the games again.

Just finished this game and agree with everything said. Looking forward to this franchise again.

Super Hexagon - 8/10 (PC)

"Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact same ****ing thing over and over again expecting **** to change."

To start this i must agree with our friend Vaas (Far Cry 3), because this was one of the many reasons that i didn't play this game when i bought it, but a while i was seeing a dude playing on Youtube and he was pretty good at this and i got that desire of re-playing and i did it.

On Super Hexagon on of things you will find a lot is - game over, restart, game over, restart, but once nab it will become easy!

About the game itself, there are 6 levels, and each level will be more harder than the previous one, and when you are playing you need to hold at least 60 seconds. Well this may sounds easy but is not, and once you hit 10 seconds the level will change. One of the best parts of this game and what keep me playing was his OST, is small 4/5 songs but are the best!

Now, are you looking to test your skills? Wanna rage quit a lot? Well buy this game now!

To The Moon - 9/10 (PC)

To The Moon, with no doubt one of the best SP experience on PC Gamer life, and we need to congratulate Freebird Games for making a good game on RPG Maker. Contains simple animations but good, good lighting and awesome OST.

However this game lacks in one thing for me - but inst very important though - the gameplay, it has some bugs like, get stuck on tree, start flying in mid game its not very important but a bit annoying. Also don't expect lot of action in To The Moon.

Talking about To The Moon, on this game we control 2 characters, Drº Neil and Drª Eva that both work on company called "Sigmund Agency of Life Generation", and the goal of that company is to grant people with low prospect of living.

Now through a machine, Drº Neil and Drª Eva, step into people memory and change them and help they fulfill their wishes. By the game name, To The Moon, we can see what would be the wish they would make. John - main character - wants to go the moon and they will help him.

Now when we are traveling through John memories we need to pick up some objects to link some memories.

In perfect game we need a perfect OST, and guess what? We have a extremely good one! Sometimes i would left the game ruining on backgroud just to hear the awesome OST.

Now you want a game with good story? Excellent OST? Great story lines? Pick this up!

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (PS4)

7/10

+Still playable the second time around
+Looks gorgeous, some environments make you stop and stare.
+"Tomb" puzzles were cool

-Some firefights were annoying.
-Would it have killed them to put in some more content?
-Plot elements kind of sucked.

The Plan - 8/10 (PC)

Well, have you ever though being a fly? No? Well you have a change now! The Plan, is a free game that you can play through Steam. Is something extremely small, you can easily 100% the game in 5 minutes, but those 5 minutes are something awesome, there are no words to describe it.

But don't think is crap for being a small game, because is not. And here is why.. It contains a very calm and smooth OST, and really fits with the game and on the end will touch you. Also the visuals are good, very clean and minimalistic, although we are basically on same place until the end where you will see a different scenario. The gameplay is also very simples, we only use WASD.

Personally i enjoyed, it remember me Dear Esther for the gamplay, OST, and in case you have like it Dear Esther pretty sure you will enjoy this one, and this is free! So go play it!

Costume Quest - 8/10 (PC)

Although Halloween have passed this is game that must be played, and would say going to 'trick or treat' would be funny and challenger. So Costume Quest is a Action RPG with a nice concept on it.

As you guys already figure it this game takes place on Halloween, where two siblings, Reynold and Wren, will go ask for candies. The player at this point will choose which sibling to play as. One of the siblings will be kidnapped - depend what siblings you choose - and our missions is to find out her he/she is. During our mission, we will make some quest, and personally this was the worst part for me, because the quest are always the same. Costume Quest has 3 levels, the neighborhood, the mall and a carnival, and on all level the quest are the same, go ask for candy, do eat apple game, find some cards, get the costumes, find kids playing hide-and-seek, same thing happens on the DLC despite the level design is different.

But if you put that behind your backs the game is really enjoyable, the game's graphics are a cartoonish style - thing that i love - and are well designed and very colorful, Costume Quest is more than colorful, is nice piece of art! The neighborhood and the others locations can make ous dive on feeling, is like we are on Halloween. And since is a Halloween Theme we will have lot of costumes to wear.

Now to get the costumes you need to, get three different materials. When we get the costumes, besides changing our appearance we can go through places we didn't can before and will also gives special skills to use in battles. This battles can arise in two different ways, when you are searching for candy's or on street when you find a troll. When such things happens the scenario will completely change and your suit power will be activated, the battle style is a turn-based + quick time events. When you do three attacks you will have a change to make the special attack, that can be a offensive or defense move. The special attack will be different according to the suit you are wearing.

Since this is a RPG make sence we get XP for doing things, well when you complete the quest, defeat the trolls you will get some XP that will raise your level as well your defenses and your attack. Besides, you can buy in-game booster to help raise your attack and defense, although this is not very important because your enemies don't give a strong fight.

Although this is a soundless game, contains a decent amount of humor there, some nice jokes and the dialogues between the characters is funny to read too. Costume Quest really grabbed me from the moment i installed, so is totally recommend!

PS Vita - Uncharted Golden Abyss: 7.8

It's a pretty fun little Uncharted experience, and it makes the Vita shine. Great graphics, solid voice work, and mostly typical Uncharted gameplay.

Some things bothered me about it though:

- It screams "launch title", by shoehorning in all kinds of stupid things to show off the Vita's capabilities. It almost made me wish the Vita didn't have touch functionality, period. Not a single instance where the game benefited from it. And losing your balance EVERY TIME you walk across a tree trunk, so you can wiggle the damn thing around? Please. Rub this, scrape that, swipe here, shake the Vita...argh, it just gets in the way of the game.

- The story and characters just weren't as deep and fleshed out as the PS3 games. It was a fun little ride, but ultimately felt a little flat. Things got much better when Sully finally got involved though! :)

- The game kept bugging me with stupid card game stat updates, and I found no way to turn that off. Every time I picked up a treasure or did ANYTHING of significance really, I get two notifications of improved stats for card xyz. Very annoying.

- I always loved treasure hunting in Uncharted games, but I think here they actually overdid it with all the collectibles, some of which were just there to have use the touch screen/back panel. And really, just huge collections of nigh identical blue and green gems? Not very rewarding...I'd rather have much less colletible treasures, but for them to be something interesting to look at.

- Touch screen swipe quick time events...argh. But hey, the touch screen is there. And if something is there and you don't use it, you admit that it's pointless. (100 points to whoever gets that movie reference!!)

So yeah, quite a few annoyances for an otherwise very fun game. I certainly enjoyed it overall, it really kept me well entertained during my long business trip last week!

The Last of Us: Left Behind (PS3/DLC)

9/10

+ It's an extra couple of hours with Ellie and Joel
+ Wonderfully told. We know how it ends, but it still felt so poignant.

- Wish it was longer
- Wish it left out some pointless firefights. Ellie is awesome, but taking out a small militia felt out of sync.

Edna & Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes - 7/10 (PC)

This was my second time playing a Point and Click - this first time was on The Walking Dead, and i love it - and i had a good time on this. It has a solid and funny story and well designed. This story is about Lili, a very shy and insecure girl that live on convent. She doesn't talk and this made the game much better - you guys will understand it when play it -. Besides Lili, we have Edna another girl and she is not shy or insecure like Lili. Both Lili and Edna want to escape from the convent.

Inside the convent weird things are happing, Madre Superior and other man are behind that, but of course both Lili and Edna will ruin their plans and escape from the convent. Edna & Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes has 3 chapters full of adventures and entertainment.

Scenarios are very good, the game is set in a 2D cartoon world as wll the characters that are so well designed. Now this is what makes me love the game! Both OST and the narration are top notch, in the begging were they are introducing the game the OST there is absolutist gorgeous and the narration, is so calm and nice that seems someone is telling me a bed night story - laughs - .

Honestly, i did enjoy the game and in near future i want to play the sequel. If you guys like it or want to try something new, i recommend it.

Dead Rising 3

Well its certainly not the prettiest of next ten launch games, but it is a heck of a lot of fun. Even at its most frustrating - it doesn't ever make you want to stop playing completely.

The whole game took me a good 20 hours to play through with addition to replaying final chapter after getting the lacklustre c grade ending - so I replayed to get the proper ending.

I know the game has received a lot of flack for it's 720p presentation and framerate stutters. Frame-rate was not a major issue for me during my play through, the 720p part shows but the added effect and the sheer amount of zombies do help distract from that.

Cutscenes throughout are excellent and the fact its the first dead rising I've actually wanted to finish is testament to the amount of mindless fun I actually had with the game.

I have no desire however to pay €30 for the 4 dlc packs - I feel I'm done.

Overall 8.5/10

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - 9/10 (PC)

Well this is my second time Deus Ex: Human Revolution, first one was on PS3 which i only played for 30min they didn't touch it more, didn't enjoyed it very much on that time, but thankfully i gave him another shot and was the best thing i did. Played and enjoyed a lot! I'm huge "sucker" for Stealth games and this one was great!

In Deus Ex: Human Revolution, we are on role of Adam Jensen, an security expertise, he was hired by David Sarif, the boss of Sarif Industries located in Detroit. This company has goal that is research and develop biomechanics improvements.

While Jensen was setting this up for the Washington event about augmentations, their goal was too implant augmentations on people for cheap price, they are attacked by a mercenaries group, and during this attack some scientist die and others are kidnapped, and among those were Megan Reed, someone that Jensen likes. However, on that attack they injure Jensen badly making him use augments.

From here the story will be very good, we will get to know some David Sarif secrets, and the story will get a nice plot twist.

Talking a bit about the gameplay, i find it excellent, being a Stealth would need to have those elements and suppressible and IMO this game can be much better that Hitman, at least one that aspect. Using the same combination between FPS and RPG like the predecessors, HR stands out in an age of main line FPS and almost no RPGs with an exciting gameplay. Now when we are leveling up we will get a praxis kit, with this you can level up your augmented equipment, like your eyes for seeing throw walls, your legs to jump high or even to be invisible. And if we are doing the things Stealth we will get more XP, like instead using the front door, no, use the ventilation and you will get 100XP or instead killing your oppent just KO him.

Since we are talking about kills, this game offers a huge variety of equipments, lethal and non lethal, you will find some grenade launchers, some lasers snipers beam, and also food and drinks like vodka - laughs - , and also you can upgrade your weapons from adding a extra ammo clip, more damage, and even add a armor although i don't understand why this on game but ok. Another cool thing is that you can combine items, like a EMP grenade with land mine, this was very useful on the third boss.

Another great thing that i love on Deus Ex: HR are the missions and their choices, while we are talking we have 3/4 options such as, being on his side, objection, or stay neutral. Almost was against they. One thing is missing on this game is more side quest, yes there was a few, but there were like 4 per city, if we did get more we could extend our play time.

Quick note, i see so many people bragging this game OST, personal i didn't find it very special, i did enjoy more listing to the characters talking then the OST.

That right my friends, if you are looking for some nice Stealth game, with a great story, nice scenarios, just buy this game and go get some bad guys!

Dust: An Elysian Tail - 10/10 (PC)

So far the best game i played this year - be in mid was released in 2013 - since the begging was a blast!

Dust: An Elysian Tail, takes place in world call Falana, this is the place were we will take control of Dust, a character that on that moment doesn't know who he is or what he used to, along with two others friends, Figet his helper and Blade of Ahrah his main weapon - and our only one - they will fight against some monsters. Gameplay is presented on a 2D Side-Scrolling plus Hack and Slash, and despite being Hack and Slash with has a very few combos.

Dust big mission is to find out who is was and help citizens of Falana, and to start right on beginning he will receive the Blade of Ahrah, is a mysterious sword that will give him some advices and tell him a bit more about his pass.

Dust contains a lot of good elements, being one RPG, through the game we will gain some experience, that will makes us level up and automatically increase our stats. We still can do some side quest that are spread over Falana. While we are progressing on main story we will gain some powers - three to be exact - powers that both Figet and Ahrah will use together. This powers are projectiles that Fidget can throw and Arhah can create a "storm" with them, this powers are, fire, thunder and wind.

Since we are talking about Fidget, well he excellent character, a great humor sense and has a beautifully friendship with Dust, with n doubt the best character in whole game! The graphics are beautifully drawn and very colorful and full of life, as well the animations that are in. Same thing goes to the OST, very calm and fits on this type of game.

Personally was a great experience for me, great, i had lot of fun and i enjoyed the plot, kinda sad through end. I really hope for a sequel!

PS3 - Hitman Absolution: 8.5

Finished the game on hard, which sometimes was very difficult to me. But that was part of what made it so enjoyable. I'd try for hours to get a mission right, when the mission itself only takes like ten minutes to play. :D I'm a sucker for stealth though, so the game had it easy with me. Great stealth mechanics, tight controls, the game succeeds. Level design is a lot of hits, but also a few misses. It's best when it makes you play as a "Hitman" in big open worlds, and worst when you're just "On-The-Run-Man" in linear confined levels. Story was silly/dumb, but lovingly told.

I rate the single player career as a very enjoyable 8.0, but the game gets extra points for Contracts mode - very fun, and adds some extra life for quick fixes!

Not a perfect game by any means, but it hit all the right notes for me. I even platinum'd that sucker today, which is very rare for me. :)

Assassins Creed Revelations (360)

Finally got around to finishing this last night instead of working on an essay. It was a solid game, but the weakest in the Ezio trilogy. Complaints:

-Map is smaller and less varied then previous games.

-Ezio story was weak. I didn't even realise I was coming to the end of the game and all of a sudden everything is done.

-Short. It's just a short game. I think it's partially because in the previous games I was inclined to do the side missions and collect everything. This time I just wasn't bothered.

7/10

Not sure I'm going to play 3 yet, but I want to get to Black Flag that's been waiting patiently on PS4.

Bioshock Infinite: 8/10

I was a big fan of the first Bioshock, I loved the story and environment. Bioshock Infinite was obviously similar in art style but I liked that it wasn't an extension of the first two stories. It drew me in right from the first couple sections. I enjoyed the game play and pace, it was also cool to have a new game play dynamic with the addition of Elizabeth. If you love great stories, good art direction, solid voice acting, then you'll like this game.

I'm moving on to the latest Tomb Raider on PS3. Playstation+ has really been great so far this year with Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider.

Viscera Cleanup Detail: Shadow Warrior - 6/10 (PC)

Well to start i don't even know this was a game, i though was some kinda extra settings to graphics and such, but no, is somewhat promotional crossover game to Shadow Warrior. In other Mop Simulator 2014!

In this mini-game we have to clean the scenario that is full of blood and body parts, you will know what happen here when you play the first Shadow Warrior mission.

My first reaction to this was nice, the good sense of humor is still there, and i found pretty nice they add this, but after a while it keeps getting boring because to be honest this game has a huge physics problems, i had the floor cleaned and after a while BAMM all dirty again because when i grabbed the box with dead people inside it fly away. Graphically speaking is still amazing, just like Shadow Warrior!

Honestly if you buy Shadow Warrior this will be free, i recommend you to play for bit even if is only for the achievements.

Injustice on the Wii U (story mode)

8.5/10

Loved this game in story mode. Almost felt like I had just watched an animated DC movie.

South Park : Stick of Truth PS3

I'll keep this short - I loved it.

The game is not without its faults, with odd framerate stutters when loading new areas and you get to see most of all the areas in the game by barely half way in....

Yet despite this I enjoyed every minute if my 12 hour play through. It's the closest I have ever seen to a video game capturing the essence of its source material and staying true to it.

9 / 10 if your a south park fan.

Luftrausers PS3/Vita

Initially 10/10
Now? 5/10

Starts off really simple and fun. The unlockable items are no better or worse than one another, but the gameplay remains stale. Worse still on the PS3 the image is 4:3, the PS Vita is 4:3 stretched to 16:9 and it looks horrible.
Don't expect a lot in this game. Don't expect gradual evolutions or additional features. I'm left wondering why it took 2 years to make and costs as much as it does.

just beat 2nd son. 8/10. The game play was great but the story was lacking.

The AI could be cheap at times too with their laser pin point accuracy even when you are like a mlle away.

Overall its a great and fun game and I cant believe a first year game looks this good .

Cant wait to see what PS4 games will look like in a few years.

I'm nearly there. I've unlocked the third power and I'm just finishing off.

I think Infamous 2 had a better story and setting, but Infamous SS is a technically stunning showpiece for the hardware and still a very enjoyable game in its own right - even if its basically repeat this , repeat this, repeat this , style game structure...

The 3rd power is my favorite power. Espeically once you max it out.

I think the biggest problem with SS was, you had very few choices this time around. it was like only 4 or 5. maybe that is all the first two had and I just forgot, but most games have way more choices than that.

I just hope watch dogs looks as good as SS on ps4.

I know, I'm a dork :p... But I just played through the Sailor Moon RPG for the SNES. It has terrible balance issues and it's kind of tedious, but I loved it :D! Also, the sprite art is great, and so is the soundtrack (Lots of tracks are from the anime that I remember). Just like the series, it's over the top :D.

I'd give it an 8/10, but my bias aside, I'd say it's like a 6/10.

Call of Duty Ghosts MP

Technically I'm finished with the game since I hit max prestige. Never been a big fan of Extinction/Zombies/Survival game play. Refuse to play single player unless PS network is down or I'm really really bored.
