Oh COME ON!!!!! This is the same one I am waiting for. What time was your order placed?
I must agree with you, that is absolutely ridiculous. There aren't any iPad 2's in the US except the ones in stores and the ones in stores are coming from the same place as ours. Apple's customer service know just as little as us because when I ask them the first day I noticed iPads shipping, it was news to them, they put me on hold to find out if they were really in fact shipping. And he apologized and said mines could be shipping soon due to the time I ordered. Which means they didn't even know they started shipping. I worked customer service before and corporate don't tell you crap about operations. They script you on what to say and that is about all.

Ok, now I have some hope; my order was 3 minutes later, and a 64 black wifi. Maybe mine will be prepared tonight as well!!
I think, if what the CS rep I had was correct, he was saying this about stock:
I think he was implying they were made in China (of course) and that warehouses across the us were SUPPOSED to be full of non-engraved iPad 2s ready to ship out for online orders, but because of "demand" they are now "backordered"- well, where the hell did the supply go? I guess to restock brick and mortar stores and so we get shafted! Apple expected less of a demand and when store's supplies flew out so fast, they had to go into plan B and restock the stores with what was meant to be online-order stock.

Almost same as yours...mine is going to Northern California haven't found any flights from AK to OAK yet but still looking.
Now, this could be true.. or did they not have any reserved for online (everything went to stores). And that is why they gave that time frame and started taking orders a day before the weekend so they would have time to re-build their stock for online orders. Idk, but this is frustrating because we want this iPad 2 in our hands so bad right now.
Looks like ours are shipping together, mine says the 22nd too. I am REALLY hoping for a Friday Delivery (I doubt it will happen though, it will probably deliver Monday).
Here is what I think... If they arrive in Alaska Tomorrow (Slim Chance BTW) We might get them on Friday... If it takes untill Thursday to get to Alaska there is no way, they are being delivered Friday.

My Int'l shipment release was at 12:47PM yesterday and I'm still sitting in Anchorage.
Would everyone please indicate their state, because the flight that it gets on depends on your location
I want to make sure I'm reading this correctly before I go run laps around my house in excitement. Does this mean it that it's simply not at the facility anymore, but it could be sitting in some other warehouse/truck? Does this mean it's on a flight or getting ready to go on a flight?
I'm based around Chicago if this helps, I'm trying to figure out what flight I'm supposed to be on.
some iPads were in Alaska yesterday and people got theirs today... Where is the hope? We must keep our heads up!!!

Must have been lucky to catch the wave of building white 64GB iPad2s to get earlier delivery, of 3/22 rather than April 18.
I think what he said did have some truth to it and I think that may be it. He didn't sound like he was pulling it out of his ass like the first guy who lied to me and said he couldn't change my shipping. I know when people are BSing.
