I think this is a flight filled with Midwestern state iPads.. Ours may go to Indianapolis or TN.. Im hoping Indianapolis because that is closer to me.
Dont be so sure. Mines been on Delfino Island for around 56 hours. I think its going to arrive in Memphis today for delivery on the 18th.
The Tale of Two iPads
Here is a fun little story.
I ordered 2 ipads the first one was placed at 12:49 and the second order was placed at 12:59 right before the 1am kickoff on March 11th. Both ipads ordered are identical 32GB, ATT 3G, black ipads. The first one was for me and the second was for another family member who paid with their own credit card but due to the fact that no one is ever home during the day we decided to have them both delivered to my work address.
So, yesterday I called to inquire about mine (the FIRST order) since it was still in "Not Yet Shipped" hell. I was very calm on the phone, but explained that this was by no means "fast" shipping as they had advertised - and that if I had been given the option I would have paid extra for more expedited shipping. The customer service person I spoke with was very nice but didn't really have any information as we have seen previously posted, but he did offer to refund the cost of my smart cover for my inconvenience.
Late last night both the FIRST and SECOND orders status changed to "Prepared to Ship" and then just a little bit ago i received an email that the SECOND order (the one ordered 10 minutes after the first) has been shipped!!! While the FIRST order of the identical ipad is still showing "Prepared to Ship"!!!
Hopefully they will both arrive sometime next week and live happily ever after.

Looks like that's going to Anchorage??? Man I hope you're right. Although even if they are I don't have a high level of confidence that they get through Alaska and to our local ditribution hubs to hit our doorsteps by CoB tomorrow.

I ordered a White 32GB WiFi only at about 6PM CT on 3/11 from AAFES.com It was shipped yesterday from MS and is scheduled for delivery TODAY!!! When I placed the order from AAFES it said 2-3 week wait and estimated to be shipped beginning of April.
can you show me the entire route it took via yahoo fedex tracking.. I doubt it left Japan and made it to you the next day. I'm not saying your lying but proof will boost my confidence in this arriving tomorrow.

No, it can make it there overnight. It'll leave AK between 7-8pm EST time, fly to Memphis or Indy, and then fly to the nearest place in MA, be there before 6am, then get it to your local fedex place by 8 and have it on the truck. It's normal for them to do it that way, and it is quite possible. It's how all overnight shipping works. Don't worry too much about it. You should have it tomorrow.
See, I figured that would happen to me, or I'd be in the shower or something - so I just printed up the "Pre-Sign" form and left it out by the front door, even though I'm home all day. It's like a CYA thing. That's one good thing about the Apple shipments through FedEx, is that you CAN pre-sign, and a lot of other shipments you can't. That's one reason I dislike FDX is because SO MANY of their packages require a signature, and Apple is the only shipper who provides one of those forms. I'd suggest you do the same thing I do next time you get a shipment, or even tomorrow.

my assumption was correct.. although yours left Japan it was not in the same location as mine.. we don't have the same shipping status but thanks for trying to make me feel better. I don't mind waiting until next week though
