My shipping just updated and guess what? I am still in Lantau. It has now been sitting in Lantau from the 18th (their time) at 9:00 am till the 20th (their time) 12:21 am. No progress at all.

Think we might be in the same boat, just hanging out in Memphis

Well, if I have to hang out here, it's nice to have company. I have no idea how to look up flight info, or I'd be checking on fedex flights from Memphis to PA so I'd know when to expect the next transition.

My EDT says the 22nd by 10:30, but I'm hoping to see it Monday. My shipping says 2 days and it shipped out on the 17th, so the second business day would be Monday.

Didn't even mention the fact that those of us who called and tried to PAY for priority shipment were refused. Or how about that guy who was told he'd GET priority shipping but then was not?

All in all it seems like we've been dealing with one of those Amazon resellers with a 50% approval rating, instead of the Apple we expected.

Well, I think I am getting the worst deal of all right now. I have called to try to pay for priority shipping on Thurs afternoon. The CSR say he tried and told me that it went through and I should be getting my ipad on Monday. I thought it's free because he didn't tell me how much. I was very happy. Friday my ipad shipped with only int. economy and estimated deliver time on 23rd 4:30. Worse I looked through apple store's order detailed page and see apple charged me $19 for shipping... faint.... I hope my ipad gets here on 23rd since i am leaving on 24th. Now it has been sitting in LANTAU ISLAND HK for 1 1/2 day...

I guess I will call CS later to straighten shipping charge out... Keeping my finger crossed for 23rd...

I think there are a few of us hanging out in Memphis. I was hoping since we have IP Direct Distribution it would move pretty regularly but nope...

once it gets to the states it normally takes 24 hrs to clear customs. So for those in memphis, thats probably why.

for those of us in not sennan-shi and en route to who knows, that isnt a good sign for delivery ahead of schedule

I doubt we are headed to Alaska.. I haven't seen an iPad take this route and Alaska be next. Shanghai possibly ..

I swear, I should've enscribed "ASIA WORLD TOUR 2011" and the cities onto my iPad because of this...I think I'll do that for the next purchase.

Our iPads are definately together. Mine was a 1:02am order. Any idea what we will see next? Is this just one of those loops in Hong Kong that just show up in a different building before really shipping to Alaska?

Sitting here...in my home town no Sat. delivery

So, I contacted FedEx and although my iPad is now here at the local facility, they will not deliver it or let me pick it up because it is

"still in the container and won't be opened until the day before it's scheduled delivery"

That scheduled day is Tuesday. I called Apple as soon as I got off the phone with FedEx and they could offer no help, but did offer a free accessory in addition to the refund that they gave me on my Smartcover. I will receive a free iPad dock in the next couple of weeks.

My frustration is that I would have gladly paid for faster shipping, but they wouldn't let me. Stupid. Hoping that Fedex doesn't really wait until Monday to open up the package...thinking that isn't possible as I know that there are a couple of others posting here that I know were in the same batch and have Monday delivery dates.
