Mine is still classified as "not yet shipped". I bought the 16GB wifi only in white at 4:02 AM est 3/11. My smart cover (gray) was shipped yesterday Fedex Ground and is expected to arrive in NYC on Tuesday. I'm really hoping my iPad will still arrive next week.

I ordered mine today at 10:30ish with a 2-3 week estimate. My email states that delivery will be on April 7th. I worked all day Friday and wasn't able to locate one when I got out.. I figured that at least I am covered now.. If I find one between now and shipment date then I will cancel BUT I am hoping that it doesn't take the expected/estimated time for shipping. I figure that the wait will make me appreciate the device more

Maybe it's been mentioned, but thought I'd note though that while
the fedex has est. delivery date of 17th for the ipad2, the confirmation
email from Apple says March 16.

Just got confirmation email that my iPad 2 32GB Wi-Fi Black has been shipped Fed-Ex and is currently on the truck. According to Fed-Ex, it will arrive by March 17th.

Also ordered Black leather smart case and wireless keyboard. Both have shipped as well and expect to be delivered by Tuesday March 15.

Don't mean to burst your bubble but I doubt very seriously if your iPad2 is really on the truck right now. If it were, I would think you'd get in Monday or Tuesday. A lot of things (like customs) need to happen before it hops onto a Fed Ex truck.

Good to know. PLUS, there's a 14-day return policy, so if I happen to nab one in-store I can always kick the ordered one back. (yes, this means paying twice and getting a refund, but luckily my cc has more than enough "play" to do this if needed).

VERY jealous of all you whose orders have shipped (and who didn't ALSO wait in line for 4 hours like a fool).

This is strange... there seems to be no reason to how orders are being processed. I ordered my Black 64GB wi-fi (no engraving) at 1:01AM PST and there has been no movement or status change on it. I see people posting that ordered online 4 or 5 hours after me that have already received shipment notifications... makes no sense. Unless there's some shortage or issue specific to the black 64GB wi-fi version

I live in the UK and had mine ordered by a great seller off ebay who's keeping very good contact with me. He ordered it at roughly 4:15am EST 16gb Black Wifi and Gray Smartcase.

He told me the gray smartcase had shipped, but hasn't contacted me since. He said he would let me know as soon as there were any shipping updates, so i'll assume it's still "not yet shipped".

I would love to know how they are sorting through them at the factory in china. They are clearly not doing it first come, first serve. You might find that they process the payments in order, but some payments might go through fully on apples side before others - and obviously they won't ship the ipad until the payment is 100% complete, so the orders are a bit jumbled up.

Obviously supply limitations of different models is a another factor. You guys must also remember that when it says shipped, it's not immediately put on a van and is out the factory. It will say shipped and then they will all be picked up at the end of the day, or maybe two or three times a day due to the amount of orders. What i am saying is, if one of you had your order shipped 4 hours before the other, they both probably left the factory at the same time. Or maybe 'Prepared for shipping' means it is packaged ready and they are waiting for the truck to turn up to pick all the ready ipads up.

Just some theories

This is an evil game, isn't it ? there is nothing worse than something that you wan't so bad being totally outside of your control.

Love how my smart cover shipped like right away but I'm just hoping that my iPad comes this week. I ordered at 4:05 eastern and says delivery estimate march 18-25 like what the hell I almost stood in line since I was right near an Apple store that afternoon. My 32GB Black WiFi iPad shipped this morning from Shenzhen, China (well got picked up, hasn't left yet as it missed the Fedex cutoff today) and is scheduled to be delivered on the 17th by 4:30pm.

Thing is I live in Brazil and it's gonna be shipped to my friend that leaves on next Sunday back home.

Question: do deliveries occur on Saturdays and Sundays too?
People that are getting theirs shippments today are set to 100% sure to recieve on 17th?
