Like everyone else got email stating ipad2 shipped. Yeah!

Lol, nah dude, some of us, like me, haven't even had ours PREPARED for shipment.

I'm still staring at this while seeing other similar folk getting at least to the "prepared to ship" phase...hoping to wake up and see something MOVE!

I feel you...

I bought it at the same opening time to ship to NY and mine is still not even prepared.

How much did you pay for your 16gig iPad2 through eBay?

More than i could of got it for in the UK.

After speaking to the guy we decided not to do it through ebay, and he invoiced me a $750 bill over paypal for a iPad 16gb Black + Smartcase Gray + 3 day shipping to the UK.

Which is £466, less than i would of paid in the UK. However, VAT will be between £60 and £100 so it'll come out at about £50 more than what i would of paid in the UK. However i did not want to risk the delay in the UK (which now seems likely due to demand in the US) and don't like queing so i would of been waiting a long while in the UK.

I'm very happy though, the guy has been awesome. Always contacting me, no question is too much difficulty, he has been to the stores to try and get one for me too. I couldn't fault him, more than happy to pay £50 over the UK for that service as it is totally hassle free for me.

I know he reads these forums, so if your reading this Jim, thanks alot

No. Only Monday through Friday. UPS and Fedex offer Saturday deliver for a big fee sometimes, but it wasn't an option for the iPad since it just defaulted to free 3-5 business day shipping.

Actually, this isn't true. They ship on Saturday, too. I just received my SmartCover today through FedEx and today is Saturday. And all I had was 3-5 day shipping.

Ordered mine at 12:50 PST and currently shows as "prepared for shipment." Got the shipping notice for the smart cover I ordered, but have not yet received the same for the iPad. Seems a bit silly to get an accessory before the actual product, but whatever. Can't complain.

I thought the same. But now I see that the Smart Cover (which is scheduled for delivery on Monday) shipped from Nashville, TN while the iPad (schedule for the 17th) shipped from Shenzhen, China!

Oh I know packages move around to shipping centers on the weekends!

I just didn't think they did Saturday deliveries to homes/businesses unless you paid extra for fast shipping with Saturday delivery as an option.

I've had several times that things get to the local Fed Ex/UPS center on Friday, but don't get delivered to me until Monday. But apparently that's not the case with Fed Ex. I seldom get anything from them as I'm mainly order from Amazon with Amazon prime and it's always been UPS or USPS for me.

Give it time... As its pointed out its only been 1 business day.. the fact that we are seeing activity on a saturday/sunday is good.

Other AT&T 3G ones having shipped? I was after you and mine has shipped, but it's wifi only.

The delays seem longer for the 3G models as they were the first to go to 2-3 weeks, and then 3-4 weeks on the Apple site earlier.
