It sounds like a bunch of lazy FE employees who don't want to hunt down packages for customers. If the package is in the home facility, you should be able to retrieve it from there during normal business operations. Call another FE agent, listen to their answer, then report back. :)

Anyone else with a 32GB black 3G ATT been setting on Lantau Island since the 18th? Mine is scheduled for deliver on the 23rd, they are gonna have to hurry to make that date.

Yup. Same model. Stuck in Lantau Prison since the 18th. Same projected delivery date. I don't see them making it.
 
It pays to be nice. We have the same local Fed Ex guy for the last few years. He was straight out over Christmas but doubled back to try to redeliver on 12/23 knowing we were closed on 12/24. I gave him my thanks and a $50 tip for all he had done for this package and throughout the year. Just got a call from him saying he noticed an Apple package came into the facility this morning, not due for delivery until tomorrow, he is getting ready to leave and wanted to know if I was around today. He snagged it and I am getting it today!!!Status just updated, Out for Delivery!!!

The next fedex update should be that it's in anchorage...if not, you are probably right.
 
It's on the truck for today...

Pleasantly surprised when I saw mine was on the truck for delivery today! A day early... something finally went right! On a Monday no less! :D I'm not counting my chickens yet - but I have all of my bases covered. Someone home to receive delivery and the pre-signed tag on the door just in case they are upstairs when they knock.

Good Luck with all of your deliveries and I hope everyone gets theirs soon! Thanks for the company. It wouldn't have been nearly as fun without you all! ;)

They actually said I wouldn't even be able to put it on hold since the sender requested that they make at least one delivery attempt before they allow it to go on hold. Strange.

Granted my Fed Ex local sort facility is a smaller one, but as I posted, my driver saw the truck from the airport facility come in, was bs'ing with that driver before he left and saw my package in that shipment due for Tuesday delivery. He snagged it and put it on his truck. I would call again and see what happens. If you have a major sort facility you may be stuck but clearly they can and do have the ability to be decent about it.

I do not think there are any more flights out of Osaka today and now it's 21:30 over there. I called fedex to complain but all I got was earthquake this and tsunami that. Bulls*it, none of that happened anywhere near Osaka.

Now these butt-heads will probably not make the promised 23rd delivery.

My purchase of the original iPad last year was one of my best product experiences. Showed up on time the very first day, and on a saturday to boot. What a difference a year makes... This one is one of my worst product purchases ever.

Only one thing left.... $50 says when the damn thing does get delivered sometime before April 30, it either has light leaks or glue problems.... Wow... Then I can go through the whole shipping clusterf*ck again when they try to replace it. Oh, joy.

Screw you, Apple AND Fedex.

Well, the good thing is that there are four cargo flights leaving from HK today. Two have left, one to Memphis by way of Paris, and another straight to Memphis. My info has not updated to reflect my iPad is on either. There are two left, one departing in 10 minutes or so straight to Memphis and another going to Singapore, Japan and Oakland five minutes after that.

Mines been on the Lantau since Sat. Hope im not one of the ones whos ipad sits there for 3 days or more. So hopefully it ships this morn.

I'm in the same boat...or plane, in this instance. Our tracking sheet is almost identical. Mine's an ATT Black 64, order placed at 2:32 am on the 11th.

I'm in Sacra-ghetto, so I am hoping mine will be on the flight to OAK. Crossing my fingahs!
 
any clue what this "in transit" means, been that way for a while....

White 64GB ATT 3G in hand! I ordered 10 minutes before the site was suppose to go up. Fedex said it was to arrive on the 23rd but I got it today. Apple had said it would arrive on the 22nd. So glad it is here. Hope you guys get yours soon! I live about an hour north of Kansas City, Missouri. So maybe that's why it got here "early". If you can call over a week "early"!

By the way, this was on the Yahoo Small Business site and not on the FedEx site. It will be nice to escape Lantau Island after four glorious days.
