For those of us with iPads in TA YUAN HSIANG, the next "logical" FedEx flight out our is FDX 14 departing 20:20 from TA YUAN HSIANG for Anchorage. That would by 8:20 am tomorrow morning east coast time (5:20 am west coast time). I am working on what that means as to when it gets to Anchorage and then what flights to the mainland in can connect with.
 
Just delivered a day early. Actually Apple delivery was 3/23 and FedEx was by 10:30 on 3/22 but it was here this morning by 10!

Let's hope we are not back on this forum next year for Ipad 3 and that Apple will allow online pre-orders in the future. Sure would help them in planning inventory.

Thanks for that info. I'm hoping mine will be on that flight. Could you please post if you determine what flights might connect from ANC? Thanks again.

72 hours and counting in Lantau Island. Sigh. Still within the original range of delivery that Apple quoted me when I purchased.

Surprised to hear that FedEx is still quoting East Coasters a delivery date of the 23rd. I'm in DC, and was originally quoted that, but that quickly moved to the 24th.

Just spoke to FEDEX rep on the phone at about 3:45 est and he indicated package was in transit to Anchorage and would arrive sometime this evening. I told him that is not what the website said and his response was that it must not be updated properly.

Not sure if I believe him given what others are saying, but have also heard incidents of packages suddenly showing up as having arrived in Alaska. So we'll see -- though fully expect it to still be on the "the island" tonight. If not, I'll post.

I did ask if 72 hours+ was common, and he said, "Yes, for Apple, that's pretty standard".

Any hopes of me giving my refresh button a break are now over...

Kansai international airport site says the flight left 1 minute early at 2:19 JST
I think the problem is with flightaware. *crossing fingers

It appears those that ordered 3/11 around 6am Pacific are now going to Prepared to Ship. Anybody with an order after 7am Pacific notice any traction?

I still have another 12 hours of orders before mine (placed around 6:30 PM Pacific) is touched. I'm guessing the bulk of the 3/11 orders were right at open, so hopefully by the end of the week mine will finally change status from Not Yet Shipped...
 
According to Kansai Airport Website, there are three, yes three, Fedex flights to the USA today. Two are to memphis (although, one of them says "via Shanghai"), and the other is to Los Angeles later tonight.

This is good news for the Sennan-shi crowd.

I wonder if that one plane heading through Shanghai will delay delivery. Mine is expected to arrive on Wednesday. Can they get it from Memphis to Pennsylvania in a day's time?

My cover shipping up dated like that. It was stuck at Lantau for a long while then all of a sudden it was in japan and then 30 min later it was in AK. Hope that is the case here.
 
My iPad2 and the AV Adapter arrived today. A day early they were scheduled for the 22nd. I still have not revived the smart cover though. It shipped awhile ago.

My black 64GB WiFi+3G(ATT) is about to pass its fifth night on Lantau. It was ordered at 12:37am PSD on 3/11 (twenty minutes before online sales were supposed to start).

I'm guessing it must be right at the bottom of that huge stack of undelivered iPads.

Yes the Shanghai takes longer from what I've seen on other posts, that flight left at 02:00 so I know mine isn't on that.
I have heard that the Memphis flight stops for refueling in AK.
 
I just got off the phone with FEDEX, international department. They said that the shipment for the ipads in Lantau Island, that have been there for the last 4 days - have been delayed. They refused to give any timeline as to how long they will be delayed. I was provided this number 1.800.455.4588 to call them tomorrow morning and see if they have any information. The rep on the phone said that they have no information as to how, when or why it was delayed and even less as to when to expect them.

Mine has arrived. Unfortunately, I'm stuck at work for at least 2 more hours...can't wait to get home!

Anyone else with a 32GB black 3G ATT been setting on Lantau Island since the 18th? Mine is scheduled for deliver on the 23rd, they are gonna have to hurry to make that date.

Nope, KIX-MEM is a nonstop 777LR and can fly almost 11,000 miles. It routinely makes the LAX-SYD and ATL-BOM flights. Can easily fly to PEK from anywhere in the US nonstop as well.
 
Just called and talked with Fedex again. My previous post is probably not right. There is, in fact, more than one pallet just sitting in HK. My particular pallet has just under 1000 iPad 2s. Another has under 800, another between 300 and 400. She could not say whether length of time determined shipping priority or room on planes. Either way, those of us who ordered early and are in this stuck in HK mode might be in for a very long wait.
