My ipad was scheduled for delivery today by 10:30..of course my luck, fed ex lost the package. Apple so kindly reissued me one but now it won't be delivered until the end of April..what kind of customer service is that..ordered it at 1:07 PST and fed ex lost the package and u put me at the end of the line saying there is nothing u can do. Absolutely unacceptable.

wow, that's the worst story I've seen posted... I would call CS and keep going up the chain of supervisors until someone gives you a better answer than that!! Get the corporate number from theJD if you have to, but don't accept this answer. Apple didn't give you the choice of shipping method, FedEx is THEIR vendor, not yours. There has got to be something they can do...

Apple computer canceled my order after it was placed. I called to complain and the apple agent said all I could do was to reorder and get in line again. I told her I wasnt interested in waiting in line for a month when it wasnt my fault. I asked to talk to a supervisor and some how they put me back in my rightful place in line. The supervisor said he would see what he could do. The next am my order was reinstated where it should have been. So yes they can expedite your order if they want to.
On the issue of fedex losing packages they are the worst. They have lost so many of the packages I send to my kids. I honestly think the drivers some times just dump the packages they dont want to deliver. If the package isnt signature required you totally screwed. As the driver says he delivered it. I avoid fedex whenever possible.

THREE days just doing nothing in China?!

I understand it was held over the weekend, but it didn't do anything today (Monday)?
 
For those of us with iPads in TA YUAN HSIANG, the next "logical" FedEx flight out our is FDX 14 departing 20:20 from TA YUAN HSIANG for Anchorage. That would by 8:20 am tomorrow morning east coast time (5:20 am west coast time). I am working on what that means as to when it gets to Anchorage and then what flights to the mainland in can connect with.

Thank you - how did you even find the flight out of Ta Yuan Hsiang? I have Googled "Ta Yuan Hsiang," "Ta Kuan Hsiang Cargo," "Ta Kuan Hsiang FedEx" and all that keeps come up was MacRumors threads.

I wonder if there's a non-stop flight from Anchorage to Washington Dulles - that would help in delivering it to me - but if it only takes off to Anchorage tomorrow (or given my progress to date IF it takes off to Anchorage tomorrow), depending on what time it gets in US customs, etc. - it could be awhile before it gets to me. Yes, I have asked myself why it matters since I have my Mac Mini, 3GS (waiting for iP5), MBA 2010 - but I'm not used to this kind of frustration when I order from Apple (and I do like immediate gratification which this process isn't).
 
I just got off the phone with FEDEX, international department. They said that the shipment for the ipads in Lantau Island, that have been there for the last 4 days - have been delayed. They refused to give any timeline as to how long they will be delayed. I was provided this number 1.800.455.4588 to call them tomorrow morning and see if they have any information. The rep on the phone said that they have no information as to how, when or why it was delayed and even less as to when to expect them.

I was told the same thing just now from an apple CS that had called fedex International for me to find out what the deal is. She said that there are not enough planes available. Told to call tomorrow also.

You should be pushed up to the front of the line. Actually, they should direct you to a local Apple store to pick up the replacement they sent there!! (and they could if they wanted to)

I was told the same thing just now from an apple CS that had called fedex International for me to find out what the deal is. She said that there are not enough planes available. Told to call tomorrow also.

Just got off the phone myself with FEDEX and was told that they are being hit with "unexpected volume" out of Hong Kong. Rep was pretty adamant about guaranteeing delivery date of 3/24 (one day pushed back from 3/23). She indicated that it would be on a flight in the AM (but couldn't tell me a flight time).

I then took that info to ACS and explained to them what was going on. Also got the same firm stance that iPad would make it. We had a chat about the situation but got no information. He volunteered to credit my camera connection kit (I didn't order a cover).

Not much else to do except wait and see what morning brings.

I would suggest that everyone call both fedex international and ACS to discuss situation. At some point someone is bound to notice the volume of calls on same subject and address it.

Off topic, a few years ago, my old fedex driver dropped my package over the backyard fence of my neighbors which was then chewed apart by their dog. The driver told me later he thought that since they had a fence into their yard, not like mine, he thought it was a good place to put it. Wth? His supervisor actually made him come back to show me where he left it. Fedex reimbursed me for the purchase and shipping but that was terrible.

Apple has the BEST CS. My order suppose to ship between 5-7 days and delivered between 22nd and 29th. I call CS on Friday and asked for the status and how long before it's going to ship since some of the other users orders did not ship on time. They politely explain that it was only 5th day and wait till 7th day (Tuesday) before calling them. When i hung up i see they emailed me a couple for discount of $45 for order over $300. I called back on Sunday to order another iPad using the discount coupon and I was told i can not use coupon to order another ipad. But they gladly gave me a leather cover for $50 instead of $70.

My ordered shipped on Sunday night and at this point both the cover and the iPad should arrive by Thursday..
 
Been held at Lantau Island for a few days now. Im going to call my white ipad - Tattoo. I know he's just sitting there with the bunch, yelling "De Plane, De Plane!" everytime there's a plane insight. Poor little bastard, he has no idea he's never getting out of Lantau Island.

Anyone have the corporate number to call? I have talked to several people including supervisors and they insist there is nothing they can do. I don't freaking buy that bs.

Don't bother on their facebook page, it's junk.

Clearly customer service isn't high on their priority list...
