I note that CCTV9 speaks of Hong Kong Aviation firms. It doesn't mention international firms like FedEx diverting their flights from Lantau Island to Japan.
I just saw this post in the Apple Discussions on iPad2 shipping:
"Some new information of interest: CCTV9 is reporting Lantau Island/Hong Kong is now among the the largest designated airports for emergency aid traveling between China and Japan. In addition to evacuation flights for passengers between northern Japan and Hong Kong, tons of dried milk powder, food, and other essential aid is moving from mainland China to Hong Kong and then to Japan. The airport is running at beyond full capacity, and many Hong Kong aviation firms are donating services to assist tsunami victims as food shortages persist in northern Japan."
If that's the problem, you'd think FedEx would make an announcement.
