I work from home and get FedEx and UPS at least 4 times a week, so I know both drivers very well.

When my FedEx guy came today he said "Here's your iPad!" So he knew exactly what it was

I wrote that as a info, I'm not in a hurry, I just hope everything will go smooth and my iPad will be delivered as scheduled. I live in Macedonia , a friend of mine that works in USA ordered a iPad for me, he will be home by mid/end April. I hope everyone will receive their gadgets on time :cool:

Lucky you! Exact same time of order but mine still says "prepared for shipment" and shipping date still shows as April 1st.
 
There are several of us with iPads held at Anchorage yesterday, so let's not get extreme with the "Lost" ipad thing.

Hoping mine makes it on the next flight to MEM....which I'm assuming is today.

If they lost it, there have been horror stories on this forum about Apple not giving a crap and putting you at the back of the line 4-5 weeks to ship to get a replacement.

As long as i get my money back I'm not to concerned, I already have the 32GB wfi ipad 2, I am waiting on the 32GB ATT 3G one. Found one at Target.

My White Wifi 64gb (aka great white buffalo) was scheduled to be delivered today. Just called Fedex and it looks like Memphis missed the flight to Philadelphia this morning... Grreeatt

Turns out it headed to Indianapolis (rather than the usual Memphis) from there made a short stop at the Chicago sort facility - hitting there an hour earlier than it's smartcover did last week.

There are only two steps left: "Arrive at local Fedex Facility - Northbrook" (Chicago suburbs) and then out for delivery and there is plenty of time for that today.

Arrived in Anchorage 6am on the 22nd (yesterday) and out that afternoon and got to Chicago overnight via Indianapolis.


How is that for Fast Free Shipping?

You are joking, right? I wouldn't call Apple taking 6 full days to even ship it and another 4 days just sitting in a warehouse in Hong Kong "Fast" Free Shipping. Sure, once it left Lantau it got there quickly, but everything else seems incredibly slow.

Maybe I am just not as patient as you. :) Anyways, congrats on getting your iPad today!!!

who's got the latest order time that went into shipped so far? I'm sitting on a 6:47PM PDT order on 3/11 that's NYS

Such an emotional journey... After what seems the endless days in "not yet shipped" and Lantau island, my 32G BLK ATT ordered at 1:25am finally arrived on schedule at 23rd 11:12am... I am just happy it has made it before my trip... Now I am going to try the free pink cover on....

I am getting a hang of reading posts on this thread... It has been very supportive.... So long... Until next launch.... :D

The only reason I'm in a hurry is because I leave for vacation on 4/9 and if it would come after that I'd have no one around to sign for it. Other than that, not a big deal for me either.

How much logic do they apply? Is it fair to assume that my shipment to NYC would be on the Newark flight, or might they ship me to Indy or Memphis, figuring a general southwesterly direction is good enough?
 
I got a message from FedEx that said if I hit refresh on my tracker page one more time they aren't delivering me my iPad until May!!!!
 
My smart cover has been behind the iPad the entire time, and now it just jumped ahead! Says "Released for Delivery" out of Anchorage, and the iPad is still at "Arrived at Sort Facility"!
 
Tracking info says that my iPad is in transit from Anchorage. The estimated delivery says that will be place by 4:30 pm of today. Imposible.

There are several of us with the same issue. Looks like a container didn't make it onto the plane yesterday or something.
