Is Apple still shipping the iPad 2's placed on the 11th?
yup thats where the initial rush is. I figure once it gets past the 11th they will move through things faster.

Ordered same iPad @04:32am EST and received it today @02:58pm EDT after a painful long wait and fear that something bad will happen to my iPad. Very, very happy now and it looks and feels so much better than those on display in the neighborhood Apple store.
I wish you all good luck and cross fingers that iPads have not been lost by FedEx as some alarming reports in this threat say.

I was just wondering if it had gone past your fedex estimated delivery date. My is supposed to be here tomorrow, according to fedex.
My delivery date was today at 10:30am EST but never showed up. Now there is no estimated delivery date when I track. I have a case opened with Fedex.
Just to cheer everyone up a bit, my girlfriend ordered the same exact model as me but 15 minutes after me on March 11 (2 pm EST, give or take). Delivery to Northern Virginia and Long Island, respectively.
Apple's email notifications blew right by her, she's never been known to bother with tracking numbers, she doesn't know what or where Shenzhen is, she actually bought the iPad as a sort of afterthought, and I don't even think she's bothered opening the iPad package that she finally admitted she had received today.
Mine is still two days out in Anchorage. And I've been tracking iPad2 rumors very intensively for nine months. I think there are some lessons here, but mostly I think the iPad god is fickle and unfair.

My delivery date was today at 16:30. I am currently in Oklahoma City and thats where I had it shipped to. Yesterday after being released for delivery in Anchorage the status changed to "in transit." On the Yahoo tracker it clearly states "Held at sort facility" and did so since yesterday.
The automated telephone system stated it was on its way to the distribution center for my zip code.
I just wish they had put the information on the website. That would have made it so much easier for us.

Well, FedEx missed the 4:30 PM EST deadline. I guess it's coming tomorrow? I've had much better luck with UPS. They're always on time. Just sayin'.
No. And where it once said On Schedule it now says In Transit.
It has said in transit for almost 24 hours now.
The lady I spoke to from FedEx said that it should be tomorrow but who knows. I guess I will see if it updates with any of the flights tonight but with all of the reports of iPads landing in Anchorage tonight I don't have my hopes up anymore.
My estimated delivery date/time disappeared as soon as it expired (at 4:30 PM today). It stayed up until then.
FedEx has also missed their 4:30EST delivery time with me. No estimated delivery date or anything. I live where the snow storm hit, but the package shipped via the FedEx express network, and the status site says those are all open. Ironically I got a ground shipment today when they said it would be delayed, but they can't seem to get a higher paying express shipment through.

For those with units which arrived in Anchorage on the 12:53 pm flight, those units are now being released for delivery (as of 2:33 pm for me). Processing time for the clearance is down by 50 percent from a previous order of mine going through there. Since the holding period on Lantau Island has also decreased from four days to one (for some of us, anyway), Fedex may be moving at least some of the units a bit faster.
