How about this one...
I had a scheduled delivery of 3/23 by 4:30 est. At 4:30 I received an automated phone call from fedex stating my delivery (it listed my iPad tracking number) was due 3/24 by 7:00 pm and that it required a signature. I found the phone call odd. Anyone else have that happen?

Well after my week started out with fed ex losing my iPad and apple putting me to the back of the line with new delivery date of April 26...i broke down and waited in line today and finally got an ipad...not the one I have ordered (64 white Verizon) but got a 64 black AT&T..finally my search is over and I can quit obsessing and get back to life. I hope everyone's comes soon and that fed ex doesn't lose them ( steal them). good luck all... It was great commiserating with you all.

They are now showing two more flights to Memphis. Only had 2 yesterday maybe there is hope for us to get out of Alaska today.
I am so mad!!!!! Fed ex did not deliver today. Delivery exception. I also ordered an av cord which was scheduled to b delivered on 3/16. At 4:30 was delivery exeption for wrong address . I called them and confirmed it was correct with directions. Waited Thursday. No package. Called again and was told it would b delivered Friday and a supervisor would call me. No phone call and no package. On Monday they showed up with my package at 11:00. I explained that in 2 days (today) I was expecting an important package and to please make sure it gets to me on Wednesday. Waited all day today. At 4:30 it showed delivery exception... Wrong address. Finally got a supervisor that was useless and just had a lot of BS excuses. Said he can't get it to me until 5;00 tomorrow. Told him it better b here by 11:00 and I will b on the phone first thing tomorrow to find someone higher up than him. Fed ex is nothing but a bunch of useless idiots.

You might try tracking through both the Yahoo Fedex tracker (in their Small Business section) and the regular Fedex tracker that Apple's emails link to. The updates and detail vary between the two. For instance, the Yahoo version currently shows my unit being held in the sort facility in Anchorage, but the regular Fedex tracker shows the unit as released for delivery (and potentially on the 3 pm flight).
Which tracker is most current varies. Earlier today, the Yahoo tracker was much more current. Now the regular Fedex tracker is providing more up-to-date data. I hope this helps.
I use both and still held at sort facility and 2 flights to Memphis have left.
Their support can't tell you anything other than held in customs.
Sorry...I know this can be anguishing. For me, it's even more annoying that my girlfriend has paid no attention whatsoever to any of this, and Fedex simply dropped the iPad2 into her lap earlier today. I don't think she's even thought about opening the package yet.
And she ordered after me.

Well guys, after placing my order at 1:27am PST on the 11th for a 64GB Black ATT model, having it shipped on the 18th, becoming a part of the Luxury Lantau Island vacation squad and a failed delivery attempt because the Fedex shipping address forgot to include my apartment letter, I finally went down to the local office to pick up my iPad 2 around 6:40pm EST today. It is currently in the process of being set up and synced.
Thanks to everyone for the most enjoyable experience of sharing frustrations and lessons, calling Fedex and Apple. Hopefully the next batch that is coming out will not go through the turmoil our round did. See you around the forums and article discussions!

Well, hopefully my iPads just missed the departure scan out of Anchorage, because FX92 took off about 10 minutes ago headed for Newark and both of my tracking numbers are still showing as international released (12:51 and 1:44pm, respectively).
Now prepared for shipment!

For all you last-night Oakland arrival of 10 p.m. ppl, my iPad that was supposed to be delivered today by 4:30 has not arrived and there has been no update to the web status page today so I called FedEx and they had to call me back. After waiting an hour they finally did. NO IPAD TODAY! They don't know what happened to it! They are putting a trace on it and if they can't find it I have to contact Apple and re-order!!! Well you guys know what that means...it means getting in the back of the line and waiting weeks again for one! There is still a chance they might find it tomorrow
Oh DotCom, I logged on here specifically to see if you got your ipad today. I thought I had the worst luck, but you seem to have won. I am so so so very sorry. I hope and pray they find your missing friend tomorrow. Now I am pulling very hard for you. Good luck my Lantau Island friend. Keep us updated. I will be watching.

Both scanned out from Anchorage at 3:59pm local time, was just delayed posting to the website. Why that surprises me, I have no idea.
Now they're off to Newark. And I've never been so happy to see something tagged with New Jersey in my entire life.
