Exactly the same for me. It is perfect and I love it. I do think there are some that have issues. I don't think it is as widespread or bad as people think. The people who are happy, don't look at those posts and don't post about how it is perfect. Bad news travels much quicker.
 
I have a question for someone more knowledgeable than me with respect to Fedex's flights out of Anchorage. My unit was held over last night in that city. I had expected that it would be sent out today on an afternoon flight to Memphis. When I checked two different flight tracking services, however, there were no such flights scheduled.

Does anyone have better information on this situation? It seems puzzling that Fedex would not have flights scheduled given the volume coming through Anchorage--and the potential for angering thousands of customers. Or is it likely that there will be unscheduled flights that the trackers would not ordinarily show?

Thanks for any help out there on this.

Did you check the weather...? The reason for no flights could be because of bad weather...

Thank you for remembering this. The weather is 27 degrees Fahrenheit, cloudy, and no airport delays reported on my online sources. This afternoon will bring a mixture of snow and showers but will be above freezing. None of the flight trackers show cancellations due to weather, and other airlines are using the airport without apparent difficulty.

I experienced the same thing and have found that FedEx doesn't post their flights much in advance maybe a couple of hours.

The last two days there have been about 5 or 6 flights to various locations in the lower 48 states. They all occurred between 2:30 and 6 AKDT.

Ah good point, didn't think about that.

For the guy looking for flight info, FedEx doesn't post their flights that far in advance like the guy above me said. Maybe an hour or 2. Watch for what time your package gets scanned as "Left Facility" and then check flights from Anchorage to Memphis, Neward, Oakland, etc...

Call Fed Ex, Rgladman. Talk to Velma Williams. She is the most helpful person that I have talked to and she put a trace on my ipad and called me daily to give me updates until it arrived. We have another member here "DotCom" who also did not get her ipad . Her ipad has gone missing from Oakland, CA. They can't tell her where it is and the page is blank. Call the number from one of my other posts and talk to Ms. Williams. She will figure this out for you.

Thank you. This is very helpful. I searched all flights to anywhere being posted by Fedex, and the number is so low that you must be right: Fedex apparently isn't posting flights until shortly before they occur. Since they seem to have been running four PANC-KMEM flights a day, most in the 3-4 pm AKDT time frame, I should know by early evening what the deal is.

I was under the impression from other thread posters a bunch of posts ago that you could not get expedited shipping for this particular launch.

I see now that there is a flight from Fort Worth to Memphis at 2:59. Hopefully we will be on it unless they have one to MCI.

lets hope so! wish our gear didnt have to make a pit stop in memphis.

i did call apple though to "complain" about the day late arrival and I was given a free smart cover.

the rest of you kc folks here might want to give it a shot.
 
no ipad yet

i ordered my ipad 2 on March 11... and to date still no ipad :( site says will ship on April 1 and receive on April 6.... there are people that i know of that ordered way after me and they already have theirs..... i hope and pray that the website is wrong and it has shipped already.... can't wait to see the FED EX truck infront of my house soon.... lets hope that they don't change the ship date to a later date!!!!!! its unfortunate that we live on an island that has no Apple store or stores that stocks the ipads.
 
Purchased at Best Buy, then Fed Ex delivers the lost iPad

After Fed Ex telling me my package was lost, I ended up purchasing from Best Buy. Today while setting up my iPad, FedEx delivers my package. I informed the driver of that package being "lost", and he said..
"Oh..thats what all that mess last night was about.."
