Same here now to figure out which flight I don't see any FedEx flights out of Fort Woth yet.

Since it doesn't say left FedEx ramp I wonder if they are trucking them up?

i ordered my ipad 2 on March 11... and to date still no ipad site says will ship on April 1 and receive on April 6.... there are people that i know of that ordered way after me and they already have theirs..... i hope and pray that the website is wrong and it has shipped already.... can't wait to see the FED EX truck infront of my house soon.... lets hope that they don't change the ship date to a later date!!!!!! its unfortunate that we live on an island that has no Apple store or stores that stocks the ipads.

Did some research and found out they actually fly from Indy to Nashville. And it's one flight a day at 4-5am. Seems odd considering its only a 4-5 hour drive and I can't imagine them filling a plane (considering the memphis super hub is only 3 hours away).

Well, after a 2 day vacation on the island in Lantau, it finally got to Anchorage. But the good folks at FedEx seem to think that it now needs some cold weather to offset the island vacation. So, now they are holding it inside at the sort facility. Other posts have shown iPads at the same timing as mine, but they were sent on their merry way without a holdover... Mine wasn't so lucky. Hopefully, they find a plane with enough room to send it back on its way, so it gets here per the "by 4:30 Mar 25" which is tomorrow. "Here" is Lancaster, PA.

I really don't want another weekend without it, after watching its wandering journey.

I can't complain to either Apple or FedEx as so far, all the dates fit with their original email, ordered at 7:20 am ET on the 11th, shipped within 5-7 bus days - Mar 22, and delivery between Mar 25-29... they still have time... I am still hoping for the 25th...

Like many of you, it appears after spending 3 days on an island vacation it's now chilling out in Alaska... grrrr! Called Fedex this morning, they assured me that it was going to be delivered today. Yeah, right. I've been reading these forums and this thread with great interest, I'm not surprised. They then told me that they were way behind in updating their website so that's why it was still showing in AK. Again... yeah, right. They suggested I call back after the local office opens time to make sure (even though she was "certain" the delivery would still be today, March 24). So I called back, this time I was told that it was in customs. The Yahoo small business site shows that it was released for delivery, doesn't that mean it's past customs?!? I asked her that, she transferred me to another rep who finally admitted that there was no way it would be delivered today (duh... winning). She said that it did not make it out of Alaska on a flight yesterday and could not give me any assurance on whether it would make it out today or not.......... So I ordered this on launch day just 3-4 hours after ordering started, and 2 full weeks later, still no iPad. I somewhat expected this, but now I'm getting pretty annoyed. Not really liking Fedex right now, they seem to not have it together, everyone seems to be given different stories...
Meanwhile, it still shows delivery scheduled on time for today. I highly doubt that will be happening.

My details as follows... there's been no update for a day now. I am refreshing the page far to often. Hoping it makes it out of Alaska this afternoon, otherwise it will be another weekend...

The FedEx tracker showed mine sitting on Lantau for five days, before it suddenly arrived at my door. I checked back on the site and saw that it had been updated with stops in Taiwan, Anchorage and Oakland, all during the time it had formerly said "Lantau Island". I think the FedEx tracking system updates in (infrequent) batches.

What time did you order? And what model? I don't know how you're getting angry already, Apple said it was going to ship on April 1, that's 8 days away still. Consider anything before that a bonus.

I don't think anyone who order online after March 11 has gotten theirs yet. I'm not sure there's anyone who order after Noon PST that has received there's yet. Probably not many, if any.

Well considering most of us (March 11 mid-morning PST orders) were quoted April 1 and they are already starting to ship it should be a good sign for everyone else behind. I'd expect those all get shipped early too, unless the international launch affects it.

Fedex is currently delivering within 3-5 business days to the East Coast. High volume and the weekend slowdown seem to have caused traffic delays at Lantau Island (Hong Kong), but these have been largely resolved. The jam has been passed down the line to Anchorage, where available space on outbound Fedex flights (typically to the main Fedex hub in Memphis) is causing some variability.

In spite of the apparent snafus reported by others, this process is actually going very smoothly. Fedex has been adding flights as needed to handle the volume, and Customs and Border Patrol has cut its clearing time (at least in locations like Anchorage).

However, waiting on a package is still going to be a bit like sitting in a traffic jam. I've had some units move through without any delays while others (ordered earlier) have been held over in Anchorage. It's just a matter of luck of the draw, and I try not to take it personally.

I'm ok with waiting another week now. I just got hold of a 64GB black from Target today. So one will be returned for sure.

The bigger decision for me is to decide upon which size to go with. Still Ken between 32GB and 64GB. Have an iPhone 4 with 32 GB and very happy with. I don't see storing any music on iPad. So for movies, podcats or other stuff would I need 64GB is the big Q. Folks with 64GB.....why do you go for it?

Nope. Mine went to Indy and missed the flight to Phoenix. Fedex still shows it being delivered today, but its not going to happen.

Why they didnt send it to Oakland is beyond me.

I called Apple CS to let them know that the Fedex deliveries arent making their delivery date and she did this:

Here's the conclusion to the whole ordeal...

I almost read these whole thread while waiting for my ipad and did the traces on fedex's website as well as on the yahoo's and came to a simple conclusion.

Any ipad that apple ships from HK will take 4-5 days before you receive it. It normally sits at Lantau Island for 3 days before it ship out to US. Since Lantau Island is 12hrs ahead of EST, they have enough time to get the package via Japan or any other route to US custom entry point of Anchorage or Memphis.

YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR IPAD ON THE DAY OF FEDEX DELIVERY DATE OR DAY BEFORE.
