Just got notification from Apple:
Shipped on: Apr 1, 2011 via FEDERAL EXPRESS :) (Hope this isn't an April Fool's joke.)

Got my Fedex tracking number from Apple this morning at 7:43am EDT informing me it shipped! :D

The current activity on the Fedex website says, "Shipment information sent to FedEx". I assume it hasn't been picked up yet or has been picked up but the website hasn't been updated.

Either way, the new delivery date is scheduled for April 6.

Some report a short stay of 24 hours, others, 72 hours.

I ordered my wife Ipad on March 14, 2010

Estimate ship: April 11th
Arriving on April 14th

Apple for the inconvenience they shipped me a FREE leather smart cover which arrived this morning. Can't complaint. Have someone got theirs sooner.
 
Very funny. We have same order with same time estimate delivery. Hopefully my status change. I ordered my at 4:34 eastern time.

I was just wondering if you get expedited shipping of 2-3 days does it really come in 2-3 days or still take around 6 days to get there. Everyones shipping i see here takes around 6 days to get there.

Mine took three days with regular, free shipping.
 
Are u serious ? I ordered same on March 14 also with Ship Date April11, Arrival April18.. and they didnt offer me nothing...

My iPad 2 (ordered on March 12 at 5:50 PST) was supposed to ship on April 11th. It shipped today, and Apple says it delivers on April 6th, but FedEx says April 7th.

Is Apple or FedEx generally more correct?

generally FedEx. Usually it will get bumped a day if somewhere along the line the package gets somewhere after the cutoff for the day.

I guess the engraving added 4 more days, I haven't seen anyone else with a deliver date for 04/18.

2nd UPDATE: Shipped! :D

Ordered on 03/12/11 @ 1:51pm.

Left Shenzhen at 11:52pm April 01 and in transit with a delivery date of April 07.
