Lol It can't be the smart cover because I ordered the Ipad at att.com and just the iPad 32GB 3G with no accesories... unless Att is willing to gift me a Smart Cover for no cost because I'm a great customer.
People weren't believing you because they thought you ordered it through apple, not realizing you went through AT&T.
64G white Verizon - ordered l:45am 3/11/11 PST
got a notice that it shipped from SZ China and now it's in HK China. expected delivery 3/17/11. Cover coming from Ca. Fingers crossed. I ran around to every place in Scottsdale, everybody ran out of them in the first two hours at most. Best Buy, Verizon, Apple. AT & T never received any in store (can't use, but figured i could at least see it, hold it). glad i ordered when i did. figured i needed a specific model so although it meant a longer wait, at least i'd get the specific model i needed.

I see... So then I got lucky because At&t is shipping it faster and from USA directly, at least for me. And it was the only option for me because Apple.com don't send any order online to Puerto Rico.
I feel like I'm the only one who hasn't had their black leather smart cover ship
Hopefully it will update later tonight, and hopefully gets here before or when my iPad does

Am I the only one that thinks AT&T orders should be a different thread from Apple orders? Apples and Oranges.
I hate to be a whiner and complain here, but what the hell!?: I'm seeing 64 GB WITH ENGRAVING being shipped before my 16 GB without engraving. I ordered at 4:25 am eastern on Friday....how is this possible. I'm starting to get worried mine is never going to ship.
One thing I am noticing is that very few white's are getting shipped already....perhaps they are short on stock?

I think it is very strange people that bought theirs later are getting theirs shipped sooner. I would think Apple would ship in order to who bought first... I wonder why not?
When I was ordering My Non Engraved iPad, the wait was 5-7 days and only 3-5 with Engraving... Again Strange... Maybe they forgot to switch the engraved iPads over to 5-7 days?
Never any rhyme or reason to it that we've been able to discern.
Is what it is ..... and one day far, far in the future we will be a part of the hipster kool "first shipped" minority.
I ordered at 1:12AM and engraving or not it was the same according to apple. Most of the engraved products on apple's websites still ship within 24 hours for next day. I think apple's gotten efficient enough with the engraving, that it is pretty much a moot point. Some of the earliest orders posted here yesterday had engraving. There's probably a group of ipad's put on a machine and individually get etched in seconds and packaged, Heck they may be on the same line and thats why you can edit whats engraved the entire time its in not yet shipped.

It mostly seems to be a model thing. 16 and 32 GB wifi models seem to mostly be what's shipped, while 64gb and 3G shippings have been few and far between (if happening at all) from apple.com.
I figure those two models must be in highest demand, so they've focused on making those first to satisfy the greatest number of customers.

It seems people used the wrong date as when they ordered.. I can't post mines.
Doodle does not allow me to select past date. We have to assume that Friday 18 as Friday 11.
Any 32 GB AT&T Black models shipping yet? I've been patiently waiting. I have a good feeling about Monday, being a business day and all.

Really brings my piss to a boil that people that placed orders after I did already got theirs shipped while nothing is happening with my order.

It could just be that the shipments haven't all gotten updated or scanned by FedEx etc. since there's a huge volume.
Otherwise it does suck. I ordered 20 minutes or so after you and mine has went from Shenzhen china to the Island in Hong Kong around 12 hours ago.
I hope that what you say is true but I doubt it. I also ordered a smart cover and my friend placed his order at the same time and he got his cover on Saturday while I only got a shipping notice today with no details when I check it...
