I know we are all excited but I suddenly realized it always HAS said 3-5 business days on my black wifi 64. I will not get seriously worried until 5 businessd ays is up. It has not even really been 3 business days yet. I am guessing we can count only 1 day so far.

Wow...seems everybody is luckier than me...:(
I know this is so stupid but I have called the customer service about this issue.

They just simply told me that,
"For your smart cover it will be shipped within 1-2 business days
and ipad will be shipped within 3-5 business days. (which i already know for 2 days..)
You ordered on 3/11 which is Friday....so it should be processed soon!! (what an official answer it is...???:mad:)"

Called my bank today and there is no any payment requested coming in yet...

I already gave up to hope my order can be delivered earlier like everyone here..but once it is not processed yet, I can't stop to wander and worry if my order has something wrong...even the customer service keeps telling me that "everything is fine."

I ordered a white 16GB wifi-only at 4 am est Friday. Saturday around 8:30pm apple emailed me that it had been shipped. Fedex says it will arrive by 4:30pm on march 17.

That's what customer service told me..
Even we ordered on Friday, it only have been 1 business day from our order day..
But if you are here and see everybody even got their tracking number at this stage,
it makes you have a hope that you will be the lucky one!

Damn dude...you're so lucky. I only ordered 30 min after you and I'm still at Not Yet Shipped. I wonder if the type of payment has to do with it...I used my BillMeLater account as it has a pretty nice interest rate. Maybe they pushed my order back because I didn't use a "real" credit card haha. Is it too late to use my Visa ;)?

On a side note, it's odd that Apple's site now shows "PDT" instead of "PST" for the order time, which should definitely be Standard Time. Not related to shipping times - just an observation.

I find it a little frustrating that someone who ordered the same exact model configuration iPad after me by more than 10 minutes (also, they got engraving but not me) has their iPad shipped but I am sitting with mine not even prepared to ship. *sigh*

I ordered a 64g white wifi

Note: in all honesty, as long as it get my iPad by 3/25, I'll be happy. I leave the country on the 29th for 3 months and really don't want to miss my delivery. I was expecting to get mine shipped ASAP since I purchased it within like 2mins of them being available for purchase.

I agree, I assumed that this would be 'first come, first serve', instead it's 'first come, random serve'
 
I have a question.. My 16gb white ipad should be arriving here on Wednesday.. IF I dont open it and bring it to an apple store with a 32gb white ipad would they let me do an exchange (assuming I hadnt opened it and paid the difference)

BTW, i had an exception message on the fedex tracker for awhile b/c of the cutoff.. apparently my friend got lucky (even though she ordered after me) and made it before the cutoff..

oh and.. she also got the shipping message on sat

i'm assuming the person that was working on my order got lazy ..LOL

That is so cool, I hope mine goes through there for old times sake. When I was in my 20's I did a magazine assignment for Newsweek on the world's largest Buddha at the Po Lin Monastery, hiked up 3,000 foot Lantau Peak for a scene setter shot of it.

This is my first iPad and I am excited to get it ( mostly for my wife ) but man, I can wait weeks if that's what it takes. There are *far* more fun, interesting things going on in my life besides devices that distract me from the real world..;)
 
I was going to wait on the Smart Cover till my iPad arrived, but I noticed on the Apple Store website that the black leather one was shipping in 5-7 business days and pulled the trigger. Delivery Status estimates that it'll arrive the day after the iPad does, assuming it does take 7 business days for the cover and 5 business days for the iPad to ship. :D
 
You guys think you have it bad? I thought I could get away with going to a store... that didn't really work out.
