When does apple actually charge you? Once its shipped or prepared for shipping? I've been charged.
I guess they do it during the "prepared to ship" stage because they will not ship before getting their money
I'm starting to think they are choosing a time frame then shipping by part no. or something because this is so retarded. I purchased @ 12:47 and received ack. less than 10 mins. later and I'm sitting at "not yet shipped".

I also ordered the 32gb White Wifi. My order was placed at 1:15 am Pacific time and I am also still in the NOT SHIPPED category. My pink smart cover shipped and is suppose to be delivered Tuesday. I have seen some 32gb white wifi's that have shipped. Hopefully ours are next.
Apple took my money with in the first 6 hours I ordered my iPad 2 (64-GB-White-Wifi) It still hasn't shipped, it isn't even prepared to ship and I placed my order at 3:20am CT on the nose.
Red Smart Cover
Did anyone order the red smart cover and get the shipping notification yet?
Mine should be shipped within 1-2 days but the status is still "not yet shipped."

Mine just left Oakland for Honolulu with an estimated delivery on Wednesday. If it actually gets to Honolulu tonight it could really arrive tomorrow.

I have created a doodle to try and track where our Ipads are. If you were one of the geeks to woke up on the March 11th, and placed your order before 9 AM PT, please go to this doodle to let us know where you are with your order status (due to limitation of doodling, assume that March 18th is March 11th for this poll purposes). When your status changes, please update your selection (just follow the instructions in the doodle.)
Remember to insert your ipad version instead of your name.
Please, no cheating (i.e. *******ing around, edit only your responses, this is the only free tool I have access to, lets use it for good, not evil. If respond to the poll through your own doodle account, no one but you will be able to edit your reply later).
If you placed your order after 9 AM, you can still see how the shipments are fulfilled to project when you'll get yours.

Not Red, but Black, and Mine is still in Prepared to Ship, while my Black 32 WiFi iPad has already shipped
Alright I'm definitely thinking Apple is having trouble fulfilling White wifi orders. Almost every order I've seen either prepared for shipment or already shipped has been black. I've seen several orders for black placed after orders for white been shipped earlier. Kind of disappointing- I'm regretting not waiting in line now.

Still hasn't changed. Been "Prepared for Shipping" since yesterday around 9pm EST. No other activity. Now - it is only 12:25pm (today monday) in Shenzen/Hong Kong, so I would imagine it's a possibility they will ship while we sleep, at the end of their business day. If there's nothing when we wake up tomorrow, I doubt we'll see anything until Tuesday morning.

I ordered a red cover and I even received the tracking number on the 11th at 8 or 9am. It's supposed to be here on Tuesday but the fedex site is showing that they haven't picked it up from Memphis yet. I'm in NY.
So who knows when it'll get here.

I've been charged for both the cover and iPad. Neither has shipped, and the iPad (64gb AT&T black) hasn't updated to "prepared" yet.

What time did you originally order?
The order time is in the image he/she posted (and you quoted). 1:04am PST on the 11th.
