I feel like I'm the only person who didn't order until 3/12.. lol!

I totally under estimated how quickly they'd sell out on Friday so figured i'd just be able to walk into the Apple Store and pick one up.. silly me!

Nah. I ordered on 3/12, wont ship till 4/11. Waiting in line at the Columbia, MD store for two hours until the line was cut just a few people in front of me.. so its going to be a long wait.

Just doing my part dude, been there, done that - I know EXACTLY what you're feeling right now. Obsessively and compulsively refreshing the order details page or just *begging* for Mail to chime and show your shipment notice. UGH.

Look at the bright side - you'll be getting yours WAY quicker than those who ordered a few hours later.

Not Yet Shipped.

And I know they are still within the window but I don't care. If it hasn't been charged to me by the time I wake up tomorrow morning, I am canceling the order. Don't say fast shipping and make me wake up in the middle of the night to order online if you are going to wait a week to ship it. It is just BS.

I'm an airline pilot - and I'd like to think I know a little bit about airline logistics, but my question (not complaint) still remains why they would make all these small stops. And I'd still like to know what SENNAN-SHI is.

I ordered later in the day on 3-11 once I saw the Apple stores starting to sell out of the model I wanted (couldn't get out till later in the evening), pretty much same boat as you, I'd guess.

I'm ok with it coming the first week of April (April 6th is delivery date), but I'm hoping it moves up.

Hypocrite in what way? Indeed I will probably get the ipad I ordered on time (per apple's shipping estimates), but for people who ordered the same model after me and already have shipping information leaves me to believe this whole process has been FUBAR.

I have decided to believe the theory that all the 32 GB 3G iPads are on the same palette and somehow missed the scanner.

My Smart Cover should be here tomorrow and my credit card has been charged for both 32 GB 3G ATT iPad and cover.

Being an Airline pilot, I would have thought that you would know what Google is.

Sennan-Shi is a suburb city in the Osaka Prefecture of Japan.

I am also wondering.....

There's no way ALL of the iPads that were ordered for the lower 48 states are all headed to Memphis. I understand it is a major distribution center and all, but for all the first orders to be promised on the same day means the orders would have to be split up amongst a few flights to different regions.

How is it that someone in New York is going to get his the same time I will get mine in So Cal if they all go to Memphis first. Fed Ex isn't going to split the orders and withhold some of them so we can all get them at the same time. I am pretty sure a lot of them will go to Memphis, but we will also get a large delivery in Los Angeles or Ontario.

On an unrelated note, Is it possible to call Fed-Ex with my tracking number and have the delivery redirected to my work? We get daily Fed-Ex dropoffs, so it's not like they would make an extra trip.
