32 GB AT&T Wifi Black - Ordered 3:47am Eastern - Not Yet Shipped

I am in the same boat. Ordered a 32 GB AT&T Black at 1:01am Pacific (12:01 am local Alaska Time). Still has a status of "NOT YET SHIPPED."

I am happy for all of you that have had your iPads shipped and are in Anchorage. They are all about 2 miles from my apartment here in Anchorage.

Fedex has a very large and impressive facility here in Anchorage (have toured the facility in the past).

Can't wait until my order ships.

Just wondering all that their iPad has not moved from not shipped, has Apple charge to your credit card co?
Mine hasn't yet.
Thanks.

Mine has not been charged and it is still "yet to ship" or in other words "yet to ship due to the fact it is currently being produced"

It's now showing "International shipment release" in AK, I hope i'll get it tomorrow since i'm in Los Angeles, CA :D

And I have little sympathy for you since you're obviously a hypocrite.

You'll get your iPad on time. The exact same thing happened to me last year.

I'm an airline pilot - and I'd like to think I know a little bit about airline logistics, but my question (not complaint) still remains why they would make all these small stops. And I'd still like to know what SENNAN-SHI is.

Apparently it's some place in Japan:

DITTO!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered at 0132pt/0432et.

64GB ATT 3G

Not Yet Shipped

Ditto here too. Why the big secret about what time it goes online and then finally hype it as going online at 1am PST when it was really like 12:38am?? And come on, everyone gets the get in line concept, even online, and Apple knows it. So it's reasonable that many of us thought first ordered will be first shipped. I ordered mine about 6 minutes after it became available and it's not even prepared for shipment! I would have ordered it from AT&T but they didn't have any 64gb models, another incredible screw-up that we of course didn't know about before. Well I'm not sorry I ordered it and not even so bent out of shape that I have to wait for it but I'll be PISSED if Apple cancels my order or if I have to wait the same number of weeks as people who ordered hours or even a day after I did!

I'm in Los Angeles as well. I dont have an office in china but I can confirm with you that my previous apple order from china has arrive one day ahead.

Is your Ipad at anchorage, AK right now? Looks like we might get it tomorrow or Wednesday the latest.:D

Well I ordered the white 32gb wifi model at 1:15 PT and I have still not been moved from "Not Yet Shipped." My smart cover shipped out of Memphis and will be here tomorrow. My credit card was already charged but it doesn't look like I will be getting mine until last week. Really wishing I had just went and stood in line.

It will all be ok...

Mine has still not shipped either...

Anyone ever think it's funny how ordering online is actually turning out to be MORE stressful then just showing up early and standing in line?

Like the rest of you I am antsy for my new gadget but at the same time I can't help but think how ridiculous we sound whining about having to wait a few days (still with FAST shipping, especially being free, by most standards) for a brand new gadget that we are fortunate enough to be able to buy while there is so much devastation in Japan right now.

Not saying we shouldn't be able to. Just think it's funny...

My $0.02...

I just don't understand how it is that they've charged me for my ATT-64GB-Black and I'm still in "Not Yet Shipped" Status... in fact, they charged me on Saturday!

it's probably just a hold, not a charge. My shipping estimate is 3-4 weeks but my card already has a hold on it for the iPad charges, which will probably drop off in a few days; then they'll do the actual charge just before it ships.

They are probably just holding funds to make sure it will clear. If you cancelled it, it would drop off eventually. It's a pending charge.

When I called Amex, they said it was a charge  (2 charges, actually -- one for the iPad2, one for the Smart Cover)

Misery is relative to your situation. It is subjective. I really do feel for the people in Japan right now...it sucks what they are going through. But, and not to sound insensitive....you and me are not going through that. We cannot experience what they are experiencing and can never feel what they are feeling. They truly are miserable. But I'm stuck in this body with this mind and in this situation. And in this situation, I'm miserable that my iPad hasn't been shipped yet. Compared to the Japanese, my troubles are laughable and probably offensive...but they are MY troubles, and they are my reality.

Just my $0.02.

Can't get over the fact that something so reasonable, relevant, and measured ... was written by "Steve Knobs." :D

No, you are absolutely right. Your comments further define what I am feeling, which is just what you said. I am going through this iPad situation as well which cannot even beging to be compared to Japan, but it's ME going through it so therefore it is closer to home for ME.

It just struck me though as I was reading this thread and then popped over to the news to read about Japan. What a contrast. Now...where is my iPad already....? ;)

I've been thinking all day how to express that!
