With how slowly I get through games these days I'll probably still be playing through these this time next year
Sadly I'm the same. Every game I buy ends up on the TBC backlog. Scares me when I hear people play through a game in a weekend and I'm still at it 6 or 10 months or longer down the line .....
You'll enjoy it for sure. I've played each of the games up through Black Flag, although I still need to find the will to finish Liberation... And after that it's onto Unity and Syndicate, and the three (currently) AC Chronicles games.Just picked up Assassin's Creed Black Flag on PS4 because it was on sale. I've never really been into the games but I really love the setting and environment of the 4th game, so I'm diving in
I'm trying something new and really only allowing myself to have a single game or two per console, and not starting something else until I've completed the prior game. So all of my recent 'purchases' have been from Games with Gold and PS Plus. I think the new Pokémon games in November will be my first actual purchase for at least the last few months.

Just finished UC 1, and on to 2.
I've very happy with it. I heard all about jet engines and that was part of not wanting the pro (plus no interest in 4k and foreign exchange costs). The disc drive is noisy but the games all install to the drive so it only spins until the game starts.
The fan comes on but it's not loud (not nearly as loud as my original xbox 360) but not whisper quiet. I play mostly with headphones plugged into the controller but with tv audio you'd have to focus on it to notice. I have to say the audio is amazing stereo/3D sounding with headphones.
Nice system, I really hated the ad infested xbox UI and it's nice to have a simple gaming menu and with the new firmware I have folders organizing things.
The games look and play amazing.

Gears of War 4. Fun so far, not too sure about horde parts in campaign though.
Also not a purchase, but I received my replacement Elite controller from Amazon today. My first one developed stick drift a month or so after purchase. New one has the issue straight out the box. Turns out £109 still only gets you the basic plastic stick modules found in any other controller.

I was tossing decision around between Mafia 3 and Deus Ex. I'll eventually get both and I know they are two totally different games but for you guys that have both which did/are you enjoying more?

Just picked up Mafia 3. Story is compelling. Graphics are good. Not far into it. Reviews are mixed. I think it's worth it.
I'm waiting for Red Dead Redemption 2. Fall

I loved RDR and can't wait for RDR2.
I have a feeling Rockstar is going to go the multi character route though which I wasn't a big fan of in GTA5.
Yeah GTA 5 would have been so better if it was just Trevor. Franklyn's story and missions were meh!
From my understanding, Rockstar plans on making another announcement regarding how they have an all new revamped multiplayer experience for Red Dead Redemption 2. It's definitely coming back according to various sources, but I have no interest in multiplayer. I'm a campaign player.
