Wow. Apple is slipping big time. What the heck is taking so long for everything these days?

When you can sell tons of watchbands for a such a high mark up, you are probably going to focus on that. It's probably more profitable than the watch itself. Go for the easy money, Apple TV is a harder sell.

Someone says you're not doing the thing that someone else said you were? Seriously apple make up your mind!! ;)
Don't waste your time. Many people posting negatively towards Apple here are planted to do so, in order to shake things up and purposely annoy the "Apple Faithful". Any sane person would just say, "Since WWDC is in just a few days I'd rather wait and have Apple officially confirm that than believe a rumor".
Any others that aren't planted here tend to be the same old people that always look for a reason to be angry at Apple. Sad for them really.

Damn it. I'm trying to get rid of Cable and was looking forward to the new Apple TV. I refuse to buy the current ancient Apple TV.

No new Apple TV at WWDC = Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV or Roku gets my money. Sorry Apple, but I'm not waiting until September/October.

Hopefully this rumor is false.

There goes the one potentially interesting thing. Hope everybody likes rappers pushing the streaming music service, that's about all we've got now. Oh, and a new font, and, um, probably more colors for watch bands. And seeing how they bugger up OS X.

I hope this rumour turns out to be untrue. I'm tired of my Apple TV being slow and having flaky wifi.

I know, I don't know why they haven't added an App Store to the Apple TV. It would make more money than Beats streaming service. Repackaging Beats is starting a race that has far been over with years ago. Lets double down on tardiness on tv streaming services!!!!!

So this will be one of those WWDC's where they talk about trivial software tweaks...

"Today, we are completely revamping the Redwoods font family... It's the greatest font we have ever used in our products, and I'd like to invite Craig Federighi to the stage to give you a 15 minute demo on how simple and elegant it is."

Roku here I come!

Kinda jumping the gun. Those products don't give you CBS,NBC,ABC or any other cable channel. Just the same stuff the current Apple TV does.
No box does.

You seem to be missing the big picture. Apple is still a great computer company. It's computers that have changed. Most people carry them around in their pockets now. They even have phones built right in!

You are misunderstanding the meaning of the word 'computer'. Yeah phones, TVs, and watches have computer-like functionality in them, so does almost every other consumer electronics device out there now. So when someone uses the word computer should I be thinking refrigerator? So actually the meaning of computer has not changed (you should take an English course - I used to teach it). The iMac is a computer. The iPhone is not a computer. I am a developer and on a computer I code apps. I don't code apps on an iPhone or on an Apple TV. (But I do admit that the lines are being crossed as you can code on iPads and iPhones.) I'd just like Apple to concentrate on Macs, iPhones, and iPads, but not spread themselves too thin with watches and TVs. They are starting to be like Sony with every conceivable product and I consider that the reason for Sony's downfall. spreading themselves to thin and becoming a jack of all trades and a master of none.

So there was a RUMOR that a new AppleTV was going to be announced at the WWDC, but now a new RUMOR saying it's NOT, all the while Apple has said NOTHING!!!

I suspect Apple wanted to shoot down the rumour earlier in the week to manage expectations ahead of WWDC. A controlled leak to a trusted source. It's something they've done increasingly in recent years. I'd say there's precisely a 0.0% chance of any TV stuff at WWDC at this point.

Are you referring to text input? I stopped that bull years ago with the Remote app for my iPhone and iPad....made a world of difference.

Use your iPhone to type things in or use an Apple Watch as a remote.

Does yours really work? Every time I pause when I type something it duplicates it. So instead of "nostalgia critic" I get "nostalgnostalg". Does it with my old iPhone 5, new iPhone 6+, and the lady's iPhone 6. The remote app hasn't worked for me in a long time.

This bites.

I'm taking that day off to watch the keynote, and the one thing I was interested in was the AppleTV.

What are they going to talk about now? The fact that they are still using the old processors in the 15" Mac Pro? Maybe let us in on the fact that the Watch is now shipping?

Dullness.

So there is really nothing about WWDC this year to even care about. They may show iOS9, but we won't get that till fall when the new phones come out. No new Apple TV, no Apple TV subscription service either. The only thing left is Apples new music service, but I don't care about that because I subscribe to Slacker Radio.

So again, this years WWDC is going to suck!

i already bought two chromecasts (hate them) and a Fire TV Stick (love it) by now. all i am asking for is a UI overhall on my Apple TV doesnt even need to be a new box.

Apple is really late to the whole streaming partaay
Lately Apple has been late to every partaay. It's getting kind of old, and maybe if they could keep their projects a secret it wouldn't be a problem because the competitors can't rush out their own version before Apple comes out with it, like with the Apple Watch.
