If Intel releases Cannonlake and Coffee Lake processors in Q2 and Q3 2017, respectively, than it would have accelerated its release cycle from one year to three months.

Point being, how much have I heard people bitching in December that Apple didn't put Kaby Lake processors in the new MBPs. Now, if Apple releases Kaby Lake MBPs in Q2 2017, we hear complaints about them not putting Cannonlake and Coffee Lake processor in them. I guess the concept that Intel staggers the release of different processors in the same generation over three quarters (Q3 2016 through Q1 2017 for Kaby Lake) is a very difficult one to understand.

But but but the blogs said the processors were out. They never said with ones at which power levels or with or with out graphics. They just told me they were out and apple is fail for not putting them in the computers and then serve me up a windows replacement with a affiliated amazon link. / s

This is why people can not understand how intel really works

That's absurd. Plenty of people that have been griping about Apple's processor choices and timing of releases are aware of this and specifically point to it as their reasoning.

if they update these machines in less than 6 months, that would be a bit of kick in the guts of early adopters, if they add 32GB, and reduce the prices

I'd pay $1999 for a 15" non-TB iGPU-only model with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD.
Unlikely to happen though so I'm probably going to buy another old 15" before they become discontinued.
Go to Apple's Refurbished Store and you will find a 15" 512GB SSD system for $1,699!!

And you wouldn't complain if the iGPU-only model could only drive one 5K monitor? Promise?

Since Intel will no longer release quad-core processors with Intel Iris Pro, the laptop would have to have AMD Raven Ridge.
No, no, no, that cannot be. Everybody knows that Apple removed the iGPU-only 15" MBP model only to raise the price of the 15" MBP.

Doesn't surprise me. The response to the 2016 update was less than stellar so there is a fairly good chance Apple bought the refresh cycle forward. Also allows them the opportunity to adjust pricing down slightly without signalling they got it wrong.

Man you're a real simpleton. Firstly you can't spell the word 'amateur', which I'm sure you meant in your attempt to be witty, and secondly, if you're worried so much about specs, move over to Windows. We'll see how that one works out for you :)
Usually when someone insults & corrects a spelling mistake I don't reply for a number of reasons but in this case all I'll say is that I haven't left Apple, Apple left me. By underspec-ing their machines, their psychotic obsession with thinness, gimmicky "features" like the touch bar, mediocre software, complete abandonment of professional software and hardware etc. Apple is losing its pro customers by the day and it's clear that Apple doesn't give a ****.

What? There are Skylake CPUs with Iris Pro. Even if there weren't, some people are happy to force on the HD530.

It's weird that other manufacturers don't have this problem.

Dell already released XPS with Kaby Lake

You should read up on production shortages for newly released processors. Same reason why the MS Surface line held back as well. If Apple or MS can't get enough processors to fulfill their demands the line comes to a halt. Dell has enough craptops to continue selling. Also they tend to raise their prices on laptops to slow down their sales.
