Wait, you don't trust Apple's level of satisfaction? Most likely reusing iPP 10.5->Air 3 design, white spots galore.
I wonder if they even care?
Unless you can immediately bring the Air down to the 10.2’s current entry price point that won’t happen. And the broader consumer market doesn’t need M1 or M2.Until the base iPad gets M1 and the 8GB of RAM that comes with it, these will be the least common denominator that holds iPadOS back from being the best it can be.
Apple, PLEASE.
Put these things to bed already and make the Air the base iPad.
I suspect they are keeping the button for accessibility sake. It’s a very simple way to use. I wouldn’t want to be teaching grandma how to use gestures. But still that 10+ Year Old Design? Please finally revamp the tired old design this year, I wish it will hopefully be in the shell of a iPad Air 4. That Outdated Design must go NOW over USB-C.
Obviously. Stage Manager is way to pro for ordinary iPads. So no M1 or M2... which means no Stage Manager according to Apple.
No. It will not support pro features like stage manager. That’s all.So it’s already out of date being left behind in software features?

However going the USB-C will mean no more Apple Pencil 1. So they might adopt the air design purely for the pencil?
After years of people complaining about how there are no software features that take advantage of the more powerful iPads, apple is giving them what they asked for, a software feature which only takes advantage of the more powerful iPads.Obviously. Stage Manager is way to pro for ordinary iPads.
Why not . Can lah ?I feel that people in the know will now avoid the A series iPads. Even my wife wants to use her latest mini with a monitor. She was surprised to learn she couldn’t.

Oh yeah I assume they will drop the button eventually.I don't think they will. Everything's pointing to Apple changing to the newer 'slab' form factor of the Air and Pro with USB C and support for the Pencil 2 and the current range of accessories.
I can see slightly thicker bezels, lower quality screen, A series processor, 64GB storage and of course lack of features such as Stage Manager being the differentiating factors. I also expect a price bump.
The Pro gives you a better screen, better speakers, larger storage sizes, better cameras, faster USB-C with Thunderbolt/USB4, better audio recording, and more robust 5G.
So if you don't need those things, the Air is a great alternative.
It needs real stereo too! Speakers on both sides, because any mediaconsumption in landscape is embarassing.
Look ipad mini , i think will up 399 (usa inflation must included )I doubt any new iPad will be cheaper than todays models RRP, more like Apples 'Low Cost' iPad is the cheapest currently sold, so new shape and new RRP that's higher.
Apple will market it as new shape new features and value for money over the Pro Models, but in practice the price is higher for the end user.
£319 will become £349, Apple does not want to leave money on the table.
Should be a good iPad. But don’t like the idea that a new iPad will be missing some features of the latest iPadOS.
Can you quote a raise in returns for the iPad Pro model in the last years?USB C is simply not as robust as Lightning.
I can see many returns for repair in the next two years as the base iPad is not an enthusiast device.
It’s the iPad for everyone.
