So no M1 or M2... which means no Stage Manager according to Apple.
Retire the Apple Pencil 1 already. What an embarrassment of a design decision
Are you talking about the Smart Keyboard available for the iPad-9?I hated this era of the iPad, the Pencil and the horrible origami Keyboard were so compromised as Apple just wouldn't change the form factor which had remained unchanged since original iPad mini.
Yup, still a rectangle! It might be thinner and lighter, but the design is the same.
including USB C is good but there is not anymore for me.
i wanna retire apple pencile 1.
Yea at this point they’re mostly doing it ironically.Read post #12, then get back to me.
They’d be stupid to include that in an iPad half the price of an iPad Air at this point in time.So no M1 or M2... which means no Stage Manager according to Apple.

After seeing the other article regarding testing it seems something else is up.They’d be stupid to include that in an iPad half the price of an iPad Air at this point in time.
Err, you realize Center Stage is for the benefit of people on the other side of the callYou’d not use center stage on a 10 inches monitor anyway… have you tried it? Even on a 12 is a pain as everything gets small.
Is there any dongle that can be used?Retire the Apple Pencil 1 already. What an embarrassment of a design decision
There are a variety of Lightning to USB-C adapters, I wonder if they work.Is there any dongle that can be used?
So no M1 or M2... which means no Stage Manager according to Apple.
The educational market is too important not to have a cheap iPad in the lineupUntil the base iPad gets M1 and the 8GB of RAM that comes with it, these will be the least common denominator that holds iPadOS back from being the best it can be.
Apple, PLEASE.
Put these things to bed already and make the Air the base iPad.
Definitely version 2 as version 1 requires lightning port to charge. The obvious issue would be which Apple Pencil will it support? Ideally one would think the version 2 but the current 10/5 design does not make that practical without adding size
No, it will be gone, just like the iPad Air and mini. Will it continue to be the only iPad available that sports a traditional headphones hole?
- is the question everyone's asking (in my crowded head).
Then I'll keep my 2021 iPad. Recording audio from iOS apps is pretty much the sole reason I have it. (Dongles schmongles.)No, it will be gone, just like the iPad Air and mini.
It's definitely unfortunate for specific use cases like yours. And it's all just so they can sell you airpods. Unlike the iPhone, the iPad has no size restriction nor water resistance concerns. Then I'll keep my 2021 iPad. Recording audio from iOS apps is pretty much the sole reason I have it. (Dongles schmongles.)
