I ordered a refurb 16gb around 4pm on Wednesday, May 21. I received a confirmation email of my order that night. They charged my credit card that same night. I have not yet received a shipping email from them. I just checked my credit card a while ago, and the charge is not there anymore! WTF!!!!!

They placed a hold on the funds. A bank can only hold the funds for 3 days and then let the funds go. Trust me, AT&T will be back to get their money. I've learned this from working at a bank. This is just crazy how nobody has gotten a confirmation
Same thing is happening to me.
Ordered wednesday at 4 pm and still no comfirmation e-mail.
And the "nice lady" on the phone told me that it has not been shipped yet.
I was beginning to wonder if it would ever ship!
I wanted it get it by the weekend but i guess tuesday will be the day :/

I'm still hoping I go home today and there is a package waiting on me. Some have said that the reps don't even know when the packages are shipped out until you get confirmation. Crazy it is
I'm thinking that they are going to ship them out today and we won't receive them until Tuesday or Wednesday next week.
I had hit my husband in the head moment. Last night he asked me if I got the 8gig or 16 gig. I told him the 8 because I felt like I was pushing too much for that (it is on his cc not mine). He made a sad face and said I should have gotten the 16. Boy did I want to wallop him.

I know this sounds kinda stupid with the 3g (hopefully) right aorund the corner, but I really wish I had bought a 16gb refurb. I had it in my cart and everything and then decided not to. I have been without a cell and an ipod (touch) for like 2 weeks and am about to die waiting for the 3g one. Dangit !
Hey, sorry for another post again. Is there any chance an Apple store would carry refurbs or lets say "open-box" stuff? I might head down to my Apple store and see if they have any iPhone's but I just don't want to spend $500 if they are gonna have a subsidy or even drop the price but like I said, I'm dyin' here with both of my two favorite gadgets gone!

I ordered my 16 gb refurb iPhone on Wednesday at about 4 pm EST. I got the confirmation email nearly immediately and my cc has been charged as well. Is there a separate email for shipping or have they already shipped these out yet?
yeah still havent gotten mine. After i ordered it i recieved an email saying it couldent be processed and i had to call ATT (not fuun btw) Turns out American Express thought it was a fraudulent charge and declined it... so we get it straitened out but no confirmation email... so we call back and they forgot to actually process it... gay.... i better get free brownies from this or have steve jobs hand deliver it to me...
I am usually on this forum to find any latest news regarding the 3G iPhone, but I didn't check the forums for ONE lousy day on the 21st, and I missed out on refurbished iPhones again. I hate this. I want to get my hands on an iPhone so bad! Oh well.
Talk about needing an iphone so bad ^^^... I have had no ipod (touch) or cell phone for like a week and now have to wait til June 9th at the earliest. I was contemplating getting a refurb for $350 and don't know why on earth I didn't agghhh. Or I could go to my apple store now and spend $500.

i already purchased the refurb iPhone before I even knew about the new iPhone coming out.
if i get it and the new one comes out before the 14 days are up and i decide i really want a new one can i return the refurb to AT&T?

iitswhitney..... yes you can return the refurb as long as, like you said, its within the 14 day limit. But I asked the same question and they did also say you have to call them...you can't just take it in to your local at&t or apple store. So yes you can return a refurb.
You basically have 14 days to return a product and then you can't. I think thats the "jist" of it. Thats with at&t. I think you have 30 days if you buy it directly from apple but you do have to pay them a 10% restocking fee. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

It is Apple's policy to take back a return within 14 days. If the shrink wrap is broken, 10% restocking fee.
ATT mirrors this policy. Same thing applies to them as well.
As these refurb phones were confirmed purchased 4 days ago and still no phone arrival , or tracking number- When is the 14 day return period over?
