Reliable Leaker Hints Redesigned Colorful iMac to Debut at 'Spring Loaded' Event

That would be fine with me, their iMac design changes generally just make it harder to service. A half-inch thick or 2-inches thick, it really doesn't affect the arrangement of a desk all that much.

When you toss in a battery, it's portable and battery-operated!
They can do that and still increase the screen size, either through thinner bezel only or by a new back case. They did this with the Intel transition, as the white plastic iMac design continued on, though they added a 24" soon after launch but BEFORE they came up with a new case design. The next year the aluminum model was introduced that dropped the 17". So, one never knows.

1984’s Breakin features Ice T rapping and Jean-Claude Van-Damme in tights like in LionHeart but the same moves as this movie in the gif (kickboxer). Lol.
That means I'll have to watch it.

I think maybe space gray, gold and maybe sky blue are additional colors they could introduce the new iMac. I just don't think Green and Pink would be a big seller.

I think the Pink is guaranteed to be popular choice! I agree about your skepticism about the green though.
As for gold, I'd like it to be a shiny reflective gold… like brass. Like how the guy in DIY Perks made:

Reliable leaker known as l0vetodream has hinted that Apple may debut its rumored redesigned and colorful iMac at its "Spring Loaded" event on Tuesday, April 20.

In a tweet, the leaker posted an image of Apple's logo used for marketing the upcoming event and an image of the retro rainbow Apple logo alongside the colorful lineup of G3 iMacs. Apple leaker Jon Prosser previously reported that these upcoming iMacs would debut in various colors, a throwback move to the G3 iMac.

Beyond an array of colors, Bloomberg has reported that the first major redesign of the iMac since 2012 will take inspiration from the Pro Display XDR, with no chin and narrower side bezels.

Apple is working on two new versions of the iMac to replace its existing 21.5-inch and 27-inch models. l0vetodream recently suggested that one of the new models will be bigger than the existing 27-inch iMac.

Ultra wide 144hz 4K display would be awesome!

If they are anything like the image they should look quite striking in person. Especially if they ditch the sort of round bulge at the back that current iMacs have had to live with. The sort of design that could only be possible with their new M chips I suppose. Which could be M1X chips, I wonder if they will have 16 inch MacBooks Pro as well or if it will be an event that will focus on consumer products. I suppose we could see an iPad Pro.

I’d love an M1 chip in the current 4K iMac if it allowed them to keep the price the same.

I don’t understand the fascination with an all in one desktop. Apart from being super cool, wouldn’t it be better to have a best in class apple monitor and the computer unit separate. I can change/upgrade either one as required. If space clutter is a problem you could always create neat ways of hanging a Mac mini on the back of the monitor. There is so much waste at the end of life of an iMac. It’s a shame that Apple can shout from the top of solar roof tops but not care about the environment for real.
A semi modular setup is great but usually it costs crazy apple money + more headache than the average user wants to have. a mini + ultra fine + egpu is best in class but at retail is over 3k USD.

I don’t really mind them offering colour options, it might not suit everyone to have a funky colour but I’m sure they will keep a normal one too. The only things that would stop me getting a green or blue one would be if the colour wasn’t that nice or if they charged extra for it like paint jobs on cars.

I would like to see the new cases of Apple computers made out of recycled plastics. And if they can get some color, why not?

Typically my wife has ordered a 21.5" iMac through a government dyslexia scheme and it arrives on Friday. I kept stalling her saying new ones were coming but she got tired of waiting. Will see if it's worth selling it if the new ones are any good, but it'll be hard work persuading her the M1 chip is the future.

We returned the entry level iMac yesterday and it was suggested that we wait till after Tuesdays Spring event before picking out a Mac mini if what we really wanted was a M1 iMac. The representative could have been blowing smoke but another day won't hurt.

Reps know nothing more than we do. EVeryone here would say the same thing. Wait until the event before making a purchase just in case.

Well, I can tell you they 'may' debut it, and I am not a 'reliable leaker'.

If the main headline is iPad then I cannot imagine they would be 'higher' up the event chain than all new iMacs.
You've been wrong for days about the iMac, and I've told you this 10 times now. You can just admit it.
