I imagine it will be 10 pm again as that was when the store updated their inventory for in-store pick up.

is it 10pm pacific time? Do you have to pay online or you can reserve it online then pay in cash at apple store? ( Im trying to get the 16gb slate black tmobile/unlocked version for 649.99)

you pay online, pick it up in store.

Just a quick question, lets say i Reserve a phone in California and ask my fam member to go pick it up can they do that even though i live in NYC?

My experience with in store pick ups is this: when I checked out I could designate an agent. By doing that either my agent (with their valid ID) or I (with my valid ID or my credit card I used on the transaction) could pick up the item at the Apple store.

I could be wrong on the iPhone. Please call Apple first to get the real info.

I placed an order for a MacBook Pro in NYC and selected in store pickup in Texas. There is an option on the pick up page to designate another person for pickup. The person picking up has to show ID that matches the info entered.

RESERVE online PICKUP IN Apple STORE currently live and working

If you are upgrading your line then either you or someone you authorize to make changes to your line must pick it up. You need to set up the authorized person with your carrier first. This is what I was told by the Apple specialist at the store when I picked up last week. The website also warns you about this when you check out, and in your Ready for Pickup email.

From the email:

I ordered an iPhone with a wireless account. Who can pick it up?

If you’ve ordered an iPhone with a new line, the primary account holder on your wireless plan must pick it up. The primary account holder is the person whose billing information is linked to the wireless plan.

If the iPhone is an upgrade for an existing wireless account, it can be picked up by the account holder or by a person authorized by them. Contact your wireless carrier to authorize people on the account.

If your iPhone is unlocked, it can be picked up by the person who placed the order or the pickup contact on the order. For more information, visit How to Pick Up Your iPhone.

Just to clarify, is this starting MONDAY night for a Tuesday pick up? Or TONIGHT for a Monday start date?

Has anyone ever bought an iPhone through in-store pick-up using there upgrade but asking the worker to buy as "device only" when picking it up?

What about if you already reserved online? Do I have to cancel my order online then reserve? How fast does it update that I've cancelled it and can reserve one?

I hope you are right, but how do you know (or are so sure)?

I don't think anyone knows for sure, but last week I discovered it around 3AM Eastern Time last week, early Monday morning. According to the article on 9to5mac.com, personal pickup went live one week early due to a glitch.

I'm glad it did, as that's how I got my 16gb Space Gray... Glitches usually go against me.

So if you want to buy off contract, the best bet is to add a new line, then have them adjust in store?

Similar to my question,
I bought a Space Grey 5s from an Apple store and want to exchange it when they get golds in. But I want to reserve it online so I know I can walk in and they'll have it. Since I don't want a pending $750 charge on my bank account, should I just buy it online as if I'm adding a new line and when I go in there tell them to cancel that and just exchange the phone I have? Is that the easiest, cheapest way to guarantee it?

I don't think you can buy it online for full price, can you? Which option do you select?

You can buy it online for full price by selecting T-Mobile ($649, 749, 849). These are factory unlocked and can be used with any GSM provider.

When you hit checkout it'll check your upgrade, but since I don't have an upgrade available it just says:

"You qualify for the following iPhone pricing:
32GB : Gold
$749.00
No extension to your current contract commitment is required."

then you're able to checkout, I assume it works the same for in-store pickup.

I want to exchange silver for space grey. Can I reserve a space grey model online for in store pickup by paying full price on the recently upgraded line or use my other line that is eligible for an early upgrade and have Apple do exchange so everything is straight and back to the recently upgraded line?

Yes that's the only way, unless you walk into an Apple Store and tell them you want "device only"

Wait, so Apple.com won't let me pay for a full price phone for ATT online?
It gives me the option to "Replace a phone on my account with a new iPhone." and then shows me the full $749 price and allows me to continue through the checkout process.
