RESERVE online PICKUP IN Apple STORE currently live and working

I would guess November based on the length of online ordering timeframes at this point.
I'm in NYC too and it's been horrible trying to find one. I called the UWS store today and the woman I talked to said they were out of Gold and that they were back ordered and probably won't have it till mid October. But they must be getting shipments everyday right? I'm thinking about just lining up on Friday, even though I placed an order online.
Yeah, I've haven't been able to get one either. Was hoping to get one in store so I could cancel my online but doesn't seem I'll get it faster that way. haha.
I am heading to Houston for the weekend so I'm going to see if I can get one there.
I see that about 4 or 5 best buys in h-town have them. I'll bet that that number will increase by this weekend, unless we see another huge wave of weekend shoppers.
Lined up at the Burlington, MA Apple store today at 6am. About 10 people ahead of me. Store employee came out at 7 to say they had no iPhones 5s to give out cards for today. The stock situation at every Apple store is different so take that for what it's worth.

If you're upgrading or adding a line, try Best Buy. I specified upgrading or new line because a guy walked in as the rep was setting up my line and said he wanted to buy one no contract. The rep said they don't sell it with no service, even though they list a no contract price (for $50 more than Apple).
I just scanned Best Buy. It shows 32GB models available at several stores near me. If it shows "in store only" that means that particular store has it, but you gotta move pretty quick. They had four when I walked in at 10am, by lunch time I checked again they were all gone.

Last year,it was 10pm ET,but you had to be quick.I imagine it will be worse this year b/c the stock is lower.
I am curious about that as well. I plan on hitting the Apple store at the local mall before it opens at 11am tomorrow.
I think you *should* be okay... the only form of ID they check is when they're asking for your driver's license or state ID if you're paying by credit card.
once the reserve for pickup is active, do I have to cancel my online order? and when you reserve for pickup, I'm not eligible for discount upgrade thru verizon, can i still reserve online for pickup? and when I pick it up, what do i say if I don't want them to open the box and activate? i plan to switch to Straight Talk
Does anyone know roughly what time it went live last Monday? It must have been the early hours of the morning or very late on Sunday right?

Still a couple of Best Buy's in Houston show the Silver AT&T 32 GB in stock. I called the Price Plaza store last night and the person I spoke to, informed me that if those phones were only for pre-orders and they wouldn't sell me one if I walked in and requested to buy one.
I'm leaning more toward the Gold color anyways and in no hurry. But if anyone is interested, you can try stopping by the Price Plaza or Rosenberg Best Buys.
I imagine it will be 10 pm again as that was when the store updated their inventory for in-store pick up.
