Seems like T-Mobile models are harder to come by.. I've seen AT&T and Verizon models come and go a few times today in Minneapolis locations.

I agree with this. But the suspicious part seem to be on Apple's side because their online store also shows that the phone is available in a few stores but every one of those stores that I tried checking out by placing an order became "unavailable for pickup" one by one, in the order of my test order.
Yeah this exact same thing happened to me, and I'm not sure if apple receives only a single gold phone for every store, but I have everything set-up in the most optimal setting; unless someone's using a crazy script and ordering from kansas with Google Fiber, I just don't get it!
How come there are no more gold iPhone 5s shipments to Apple store? I have been checking 3x a day for the last two weeks and nothing.
I have seen stock of gold. I saw it yesterday. Are you using the apple tracker website to track stock?
You should track it as much as you can.
I got mine on oct.17. Actually I had a chance to buy early but when I click last step of check out, it was already gone. I learned the lesson that I have to quickly checkout so When I ordered on Oct.17, I used apple app and it's much faster to check out. Fortunately, I was able ordered two gold iPhones for me and my wife (I had to order twice for two phones).
Picked up at apple store next day.
Where are you located? Here in South Florida, they sell in in literally 2 minutes.

I landed a space gray last Monday. Most of the colors in the NYC area had stock for a good 10 minutes. I used apple store app on 3G. However, a defect made me return it and I have to redo the process. I would wait on the last screen with my finger over "place order" while refreshing the tracker on the computer. Still get beat every single time. I've tried 4 times already. The manhattan store stock literally disappear in 1-2 seconds. Idk if a script even exists for this hit the phones disappear in unrealistic speeds.
I live in Atlanta. Also many people lives here and sold out very quickly.
You should put all information at apple app and quickly check out as soon as 5s appear.

Looks like Apple legally forced them to take down that apple tracker site.
What is wrong with apples 5s stock? It's been 2 weeks and barely any gold let alone silver iPhones have been coming in to any of the stores around me. And I check the times they update stock and all I have to do is press place order and enter my cards security code, it's gone. How is that humanely possible? I refresh checking constantly (literally) during the 3 minute window in when it updates, and then it's gone a second after I press place order. I feel like it's rigged
Yeah it is rigged, I've tested multiple times with a particular store and the stock doesn't empty UNTIL I place the in-store pickup for that store. But as for overall stock issues, I think Apple's sending their phones to the new markets instead of prioritizing their home country where it's been more than a month and there is still supply constraints.

I've followed the stock checkers. Stock appears. You need to setup 1-Click purchase and submit your order quickly. You're probably taking to log to get from screen to screen.
