With the iPad Pro being so thin I would really like to see them getting thinner again and more importantly lighter, at the very least for the pro max-version. The 14 PM I am using now has begun to start hurting holding it for an extending period of time.

Well at least it is a bit lighter than your 14 PM (240g) ;)

Please stop labelling minuscule things as disappointments, the world does not owe you anything.

FYI iPhone 14 Pro was 240grams.
Thanks, but we can make our own decisions and only offered our opinion. And when I spend as much money as I do on Apple hardware, I can certainly voice my opinion, whether that is positive or negative. Have a great day!😀

I just hope they don’t limit certain AI features exclusively only to the 16th gen. I have a 15pro and hope I’ll get full access to the new AI stuff :)

Uh, regarding this comparison to the iPhone 13 Pro, are they aware that the 13 Pro doesn’t have a Dynamic Island?

So why did they bother? Nobody’s going to notice that screen size increase, but the people for whom size and weight are already well beyond the sweet point certainly will notice a change in that.
Because it can now be marketed that as increased screen size.

Because most people care only about these things in their decision factors and watch comparison videos only.

If a small change like this could ultimately convert some people's decisions towards the iPhone, these can impact the bottom line of iPhone sales - period.

All I‘m waiting for is a rumor that the new iPhones get a nano-texture screen option. After seeing how awesome it is on the new iPads, that would be a day-one, no-questions-asked, cost-be-damned reason to upgrade.
With how easy that nano-texture scratches, I'd never get it on something that goes in a pocket. Could just get a matte screen protector that has a similar effect.

Bring it on with the bigger screen Apple this is good news for my yearly pro max upgrade 👍

If they are insisting on further making the borders smaller, I really hope they work on palm rejection. As someone who uses the iPhone 15 Pro without a case, it’s absolute pish. So many false taps.
This -- especially during moments when I have to adjust the grip of the phone. There are times when it can get a bit unwieldy

I feel exactly the same way. I want nano texture on iPhones and MacBooks.

And the Watch!

I don‘t think it scratches „easily“. But I don‘t put anything else in the pocket that I put the phone in, so for me the point is moot anyhow.

Also, a matte screen protector doesn‘t have a „similar“ effect, not even close.

Needed a bigger phone but found iPhone 15 pro max too big. I think iPhone 16 pro will be good.

Sad there’s still the ugly island. Hides so much screen real estate

I think you’ll be fine. They put on the A17 Pro the Neural Engine that the M3 didn’t receive. So if there’s a soft cutout of certain on-device features, that will probably include the A17 Pro and the M4 SoC
