Can't see anything worthing a return in those screens.

Well Max(IT), I'm far away from being a fan of your posts but this time I actually have to agree with you. Maybe there is a (very slight) yellow tint visible, but nothing worth a return I think.

And so it continues DQTLR week 48= IR.

Was this an in store purchase? The serials are completely different. Really glad you got a good one :)

Was an in store purchase. Sadly it had the dreaded bottom half yellow disease so back it went. Again. Given up on the rMini now.

Neither do I. I think they should simply get another tablet. No Apple tablet is going to meet their high standards.

Since Apple uses the same displays from the same manufacturers of any other brand, I think they expectations won't be met by any other tablets. Samsung and Nexus tablets I saw are very good tablets, but not better than iPad screen wise.

Today I got my 6th device and ghosting again :)

I am currently using my 5th device and request for the 7th device for the replacement of 6th device.

5th is the right ones. You see the yellowish screen on the left and also unevenness on the screen.

I see the yellow and unevenness in the screen on the left in the last photo. Maybe some people here are colorblind or insensitive to color variation.

So I've a question:

Why the LTE/Cell (specially 64 and 128) are obviously more heavily subject to IR ?
Even if this "technical limitation" is nearly unoticeable under normal use, I'm just curious to understand... :)

Anyone?

My guess is that (if) there were issues with the initial batch of screens that were made and they were evenly distributed among wifi and lte models in production and the demand for the 64 and 128 lte ipad minis has been the lowest overall and so those initial batch screens are cycling through at a slower rate. Just a guess.

I've let my r mini for 25 minutes with full brightness, auto lock disabled and I didn't touch it at all, even the buttons, NOTHING! After 25 minutes, the screen was flawless but the battery not so good:D

yep, dunno why the 64 and 128 lte seem the most affected models... (only my personnal feeling while reading the threads)...

Btw, i think heliteknik wish you enter your serial here:

http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html

and give us the info back...

6th iPad Mini (64GB-TMobile) that I will be returning today. I think I'm going to call it quits and just get a non LTE model. Will be getting a 7th, hoping that one is good otherwise that'll be another return.

I wonder how my credit card company feels about all the charges and credits being posted to me account lol

Well, after searching for one without a yellowing screen, I decided to test for IR.

After 30 seconds, I get noticeable IR.... F4kl serial. It's a 16gig wifi.

Ugh. Guess it's going back tomorrow. Back to playing this game I guess.

Edit: to be fair, I had been noticing it switching between apps, so I decided to test.
Bleh. I'd love to get one without yellowing AND IR. Wondering if it's worth it to wait a week (got this one on Friday) to wait for the next shipment? Kinda considering getting an air....

And what about the sound on your models ? Is it low and with no bass comparing to the non retini mini ?

The Air might not have IR, but it will more than likely have a yellow tint to some degree. The chance of ending up with an Air or RMini without any issues are slim to nil.

That's true. Hmm. Can't decide. I am starting to see IR in normal use though, which isn't a good thing. Will be going back soon, either for a replacement or an air. Blah. We've got an Air at work, that I can't find any yellowing with.
