Nice ;-)
Did you make the Marco test or is it just a conclusion of your normal use ?
Btw, you don't have to do this test...
Just curious, what is your S/N ?
Thanx
I've let run the test for about 5 Minutes - No IR.
My Serial Number begins with DL.
Nice ;-)

It's a wifi only.Thanx.
5 min is more than enough to conclude ;-)
But is it a Wifi only or a LTE/Cellular ?
It seems that most of the LTE/Cellular models are subject to IR.
Wifi only models seem quite safe...
It's a wifi only.
Just checked the screen and noticed some dust/dirt under the screen. nice...
Sorry for you
This is another typical problem of the iPad screens I forgot to mention in my previous posts...
I've had this problem on a lot iPads. If the problem was to visible, I had the iPad replaced.
I've triple checked my rMini for this and it's hopefully Ok...
However, as you've a Wifi only model, you've far less chance to have your replacement (if you choose to replace) affected by IR or uneven screen.
If I choose the option "Replacement" on the apple site, will I get a new unit or a refurbished one ?

I am currently on my 3rd rMini 128gb cellular. The first two had very bad backlight bleeding even in dim lighting with the brightness as low as 20%, as well as half white, half yellow.
Apart from that there was no image retention issues, dust or dead pixels. Both week 47.
My third one, week 41, has a very decent uniform display, no dead pixels or dust but has very severe image retention problem.
I didn't even run the test on my third one, just playing GTA San Andreas for 2hrs and I noticed some after image while loading. Had a look at the retention test page and I see a perfect image of the on screen controls.
I left the iPad off for 12hrs, went straight to the grey image and even though the image had faded by 90%, the on screen controls outline were still visible
Very disappointing.
This issue it certainly easy to see during normal use, just open the YouTube app and scroll on the grey side bar, I can still make out the game controls. Thankfully this issue though is only visible on a dark grey background. Off to Apple once again. Costing me a fortune in fuel as my nearest one is 30 miles one way, plus on every exchange they never have any there so I have to go home and then back again once the order comes in.
So that's around 120 miles for each exchange, at this rate I could save the money used on fuel to buy another one

Went to Apple, they seen the issue and agreed to change it straight away, as I guessed they had no replacements available once again, so it's another trip to collect it and 50/50 whether it's a good one or not.
Here is a better image after gaming. Horrible, and after 12hrs off, I can still clearly see the ghosting
For the ghosting to completely clear, it took around 30hrs.

30 hours ??????? It is more than 1 complete day ! How many hours did you play the game ?
Week 48 F4KL here and no IR. Week 47 one that had other problems had IR after only 45 secs of the Marco test.
LTE 32GB Space Grey
Today I got my 6th device and ghosting again
I am currently using my 5th device and request for the 7th device for the replacement of 6th device.
5th is the right ones. You see the yellowish screen on the left and also unevenness on the screen.

If anyone is interested, try this:
Test the iPad for IR right after you turn it on. Use it for an hour or so, and retest. Checking to see if a warmer screen reacts faster (returns to normal) faster.
The reason I am interested is this: I returned one for an excessively yellow band. The second had a white screen, but I tested IR and it was relatively bad. But I decided to keep it as the color was nice. But now when I test for IR, I really think I get less than I did initially. (Of course, I should have taken a photo . . .)
