If this is true I'm quit sure Comcast has one in their lab also.
And what about Cable providers in the US. I mean Apple is based in California so why wouldn't they work first with a cable provider here?

Based on what? A rumor? We have no idea if this will be released or how it will look.
An onscreen keyboard controlled with hand gestures? I am very interested in seeing how Apple makes it work.
Mark my words - Bell will require Bell Fibe TV + Internet in order for this to work. That means 90% of Quebecois will be excluded from the TV.
Not to mention data caps up the wazoo vs unlimited internet available from the likes of Acanac and Teksavvy (which Bell wishes it could kill).
I hope Apple has the guts to shove their internet plans where they belong and force Bell to keep access open to ALL users from ALL ISPs.

Do you have weed in your mouth while using it?
Where are they going to put these things in Apple Stores? There is no room to move now.
Apple won't be able to force the Cable companies to do anything like they did with Cell phone carriers. Since Most cable Companies (here in the US) don't compete against each other so The cable company's will do what they want and won't do what apple wants and won't care. If This so called tv is real and they want to get a cable provider to go along then they have to get rid of the iTunes content on that tv.

I doubt Rogers can competently test a light bulb let alone an iTV.
They have just released a new cable TV interface - replaced an old FUBAR with a new FUBAR.
More importantly, are we really going to be permanently stuck with the A4 720p AppleTV box because of this overpriced display Apple wants to shove down our throats?
I think the AppleTV is great as it is, with the exception of its lack of 1080p support. And I get the feeling they won't ever give it to us, because they want us to go buy their 1080p television set when it finally comes out in like October.

So Apple is trying to work with the very same ISPs that keep increasing their fees and keep diminishing the monthly caps?
If you think your monthly caps in the USA are bad, try 80, 50 or even 35GB in Canada. And that's for cable-based, home internet.
Some of us are looking for a premium high quality picture that can be color calibrated as we are home theater enthusiasts. But perhaps Apple doesn't care about these people as they are a small segment of the market. If Apple doesn't have a set in the 60"-70", then I am not interested and more interested in a Sharp AQUOS 70" LED LCD based TV.
