WHAAAATTT, gotta be a mistake but the UPS app on my phone just said that my package is "Out for Delivery" I do have one from Amazon coming today but it had a notification for both. It's gotta be the apps mistake right? It still shows in China on the tracking.

I've been a lurker for about 4-5 years now...and specifically finally created an account just to ask you for screenshots of both the app and web tracking - please :)

Leaving for a trip tonight and really hoped to be able to get mine before I leave for the airport...

Well if they want me to receive it tomorrow, the date that Apple gave me, why is it still sitting in Incheon this morning? I'm not getting it until sometime next week now.

You'd be surprised at how quick it moves once it gets over here. if it makes it on the flight today to AK it would make it into Louisville tonight and be turned back around here via plane to local state.

so here's a weird one... neither my shipment email from Apple, or the apple order status on their website shows a delivery date. The Apple Store app shows the old October 4-10 delivery dates.

So I called apple today about a totally separate order for my Apple watch,as passing I made mention about what was going on with my phone,he said he has had nothing but calls about this, and he told me he recommended just finding a phone at the apple store and use that until my new one comes in and return the one I picked from the store. Lol I'm not going to do something like that but I guess that's something some that are in a pinch could do if needed.

Should be in the next hour. Flight goes wheels up soon
Not sure why everyone is focusing on flights and hoping our iPhones make the next flight. Maybe 25 or more flights have taken off from ZZ China since this nightmare started. I think 1 of 2 things is going on.

1. UPS is being told to hold shipments like someone mentioned for delivery on 23rd. If that is true why not just have updated the system to reflect the new date?

2. Just like UPS admitted to me and the Apple Online Store Manager, that sometimes people get their packages without any additional scans showing up prior to delivery. Even admitted she couldn't guarantee that my iPhone was in Korea like the status update says. Problem with that is why don't any of us have delivery dates of any kind?

Other possibilities are that shipment was stolen or damaged. Thoughts?

So I haven't looked at a map to be sure but this may be why the phones are showing in China, then Korea, then back to China. Time Zones.

When we lived in Hawaii tracking packages was always difficult because of the time zones. A package would look like it had been in Los Angeles, Hononlou, back to LA, and then to Kauai where we were. It would make you dizzy reading that the package had bounced back and forth. In reality it stayed on one continual path but the tracking read differently because of being scanned in that locations local time.

But I did the timezone math on Todays updates of Incheon at 730 or whatever and back to ZZ at 735. It didn't work out in our favor...

So you ordered the phone knowing that it had an October delivery but now because of delays, even though you will get the phone almost two weeks earlier than you originally thought, you are going to return it in a huff? Talk about taking your toys and going home!

Actually... no, none of us "knew" it would be an October delivery. The online ordering process was a train wreck, the majority of folks being unable to actually order until 10-20 minutes after the the posted time for the beginning of orders being accepted.

Anticipating high volume, I had two iOS devices using the Apple Store app and two computers attempting to order via web browsers. All were unable to access the ordering process until 12 minutes AFTER 12pm PST. By then the order delivery date slipped to October. So again no I did not "know" going in, that October would be the delivery date.

So couple that experience with then being informed the package would arrive earlier than projected. There have been a number of package thefts in my neighborhood, so tracking when it will actually arrive is important. I do have flexibility around being home to meet the package, but most folks on this Forum do not.

Okay, the individual makes arrangements based on what UPS is telling that person... then..... it changes. Then... it changes again. Then...... no date. But....., trust the date Apple gave, even though UPS has no date.

You get the picture?

I believe #1. Others who have called UPS about the crazy scans, they said they are following Apple's operating procedures per their contract. Apple assured me this morning to be delivered tomorrow. Apple is telling them when they want the ordered delivered. Most of us here have 9/23 per the Apple site. Some posters have gotten earlier i realize. If that comes and goes with no phones, then time to raise hell

I shouldn't even had a October date to begin with, like most of the people here, I was ready at the middle of the night and ordered within a couple minutes of the site first allowing me in. Sorry but a company that doesn't make their most loyal companies a top priority and ensuing there are satisfied after buy a 850 USD phone every year, then that's a company I want to stop giving my cash to. And if more people started doing this they wouldn't be able to pull this crap. They just do whatever they want because they can get away with it. Pretty much all the excitement I had from getting the new phone has washed away and replaced by all my frustrations with the whole preorder process.

Since 2007 I've had every iPhone model, but this year I won't and I'll stick to my 6S Plus. Next year they better come out with something amazing, otherwise for the first time I would consider switching for a different non explosive phone.

My thoughts exactly.

Well I went to bed hoping that mine was on one of the planes that landed in Louisville last night since I had no scans past 1:05 but it looks like my phone is still in Korea. Had a delivery date of today but now it says tomorrow.

Managed just now to reserve a Plus 128 gb Gold phone at a local store for pickup around noon. I ordered black and now thinking....do I really want gold. It will be in a case so......
if I could cancel my JB shipment, I'd take any color now. I'm too OCD to deal with all this uncertainty. LOL. My phone is still stuck in Korea for 24 hours with no movement. And no new delivery date from UPS.

Another day, another pre-signed UPS form taped to my front door. Here's to hoping I have a nice surprise when I'm done work today. I didn't expect anything yesterday, but today could be the day if we wall wanna believe in missed scans. This is horse s***. That's all.

Trolls, stop telling people to relax, you're obviously here obsessively checking the thread like everyone else, stopppp

I have to agree with some of you....the biggest thing for me is making plans to be home to sign for the package. The uncertainty is causing a huge headache.

Miles you were 9/23 by Apple right? I have a real hard time believing we are all still stuck in Korea. This phone is out by delivery for tomorrow I am betting. Apple is the gatekeeper remember! UPS is at the mercy of Tim and Angela! Cook is a master of supply chain and I will believe then unless they prove me wrong tomorrow.

Guys, you need to calm down and not get so stressed out about this. (referring to people who are upset about ship times, not actual problems with the process)

IMO, people wouldn't be nearly as upset if they changed when/how we received information.

Just imagine this...You get an e-mail from Apple, your phone has shipped you'll receive it on 9/26, but UPS does not give you any information until it hits the US (or your final destination country). You'd get it the same time as you'll receive it now, but you wouldn't be hanging over every detail about which country it's in or what the next flight leaving is.

Your phone is going to arrive and for 99% of us it'll arrive before you NEED it and for 100% of us (that have already shipped, with no bugs) it'll arrive before our original delivery window. Please keep things in perspective, Apple and UPS want to deliver your phone to you in a reasonable time frame, but there are only so many flights and so many employees that can work to get things delivered. There are probably a dozen things we don't even think about that creates additional challenges along the way. It's a phone, for most of us it's an upgraded version of the phone we already have and whether we have it today, next week or next month it's not going to change our lives.

Well I guess I'm in the 1% group. I stupidly sold my phone once I got shipping notification in UPS my Choice for the 21st. Wanted to get good price so I listed it a little earlier than I would normally giving UPS an extra day if something happened. Had to ship it yesterday morning. No cell phone at all right now. Had no idea this was even possible. Going to need a loaner from a friend if it doesn't miraculously show up today.

I think Apple is purposely holding them, and is forcing UPS to stop providing scans to us. Most likely our phones are in country waiting to get delivered on the Apple date that we all originally got. For me that was the 23rd. If I get my iPhone tomorrow I will be convinced of that and then call Apple and give them hell.

Worst part is I coulda got a matte black at store last weekend but my order was already moving along n figured I'd have mine no later than Friday ,don't see that happening now,and of course all I've seen available are rose gold n gold ,horrible ,good thing we stayed up for the stroke of midnight to preorder

I gave up on waiting as I was PFS (BS status as it means nothing!) since Saturday (6 days?!?) and picked up a 128GB Matte Black 7+.

Of course, when I called to cancel the 'pre-order' they cancelled my in-store pickup instead. Fortunately, the people at my store knew it 'had' to be a mistake. So, my PFS is STILL not cancelled. Oh well, if they ship it to me I'll just return it.
