Eventually it will just say "Bro I literally have no idea I'm sorry"

This made me lol.

I have the ZZ Departure scan 7:35PM and I spoke to UPS and the rep assured me I will get my phone tomorrow. He also said it is going from China straight to Louisville (lol). He said before this week all apple shipments never stopped in Alaska, just went straight to Kentucky. I think this dude was clueless, although he said he asked his supervisor and seemed way more helpful than anyone else ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Why has this tiny package struggled to get here every. step. of. the. way? For serious. We've watched the last... like... 2–3 planes leave South Korea hoping that those would be the ones. I totally get the customs hold up—it happens. I get why we weren't on those planes... but this one... THIS ONE... the one we actually had a decent chance of being on "departs in n/a". I know, it's just a phone. It'll get here. But I can't help but feel kind of peeved because it's nearly Friday and that was Apple's delivery date for me, and it's not moved at all. If this was any other package that was given a specific date, like something from Amazon, I'd still be peeved. Okay... done first world problem ranting haha
I feel you. But my apple scheduled date was today and still stuck in Incheon. It's crazy

The last one I spoke to earlier today say it was in China customs, however I would still get it in Mexico tomorrow. Yeah right. And I asked how is it going to make it to Mexico tomorrow? And then he switched to saying it is just being imported. Not exported in china. That's when I decided to pull the plug hahaha

The theory that ups holds things to apples delivery date doesn't hold much water....I'm in Korea but had a delivery date of today from apple.

I believe #1. Others who have called UPS about the crazy scans, they said they are following Apple's operating procedures per their contract. Apple assured me this morning to be delivered tomorrow. Apple is telling them when they want the ordered delivered. Most of us here have 9/23 per the Apple site. Some posters have gotten earlier i realize. If that comes and goes with no phones, then time to raise hell

I agree that is the most likely scenario at this point, but why would Apple create this self inflicted wound ion themselves. They had to know that without proper updates peon would flood both UPS and Apples phones and trash them on social media? They have been through this many times and you would hope they were smart enough to sidestep a foreseeable sh** storm.

Funny thing is when I had UPS conferenced into the call with the Apple Online Store Manager, the UPS rep (the one specifically for iPhone shipment orders) did refer to special procedures or something and mentioned that the Apple manager was aware of what she was talking about. Never specifically referenced Apple forcing them to honor their dates and hold shipments, but did seem a little surprised that she was being asked for more information. Almost like you know why this package isn't being delivered today. Lol

These conspiracy theories are crazy. Once again... Apple paid for slow shipping. Other orders take precedent. Surprised none of you have experience with slow shipping before.

Apple paid for 2-3 business day shipping. My shipment was scanned into ZZ China on 9/19. Do the math. Still late. This isn't about impatience. It's about getting jerked around with misleading and inaccurate information.

For those with a UPS CC pick up, do you know if we're able to do so on a Saturday? Our flight out of Korea is way delayed so thinking it might not get to us by tomorrow :(

Talked to someone with the Apple online store, he said he does still see my phone in Korea but is still guaranteed by Apple to arrive to me by tomorrow. He said if it doesn't show "out for delivery" tomorrow to give them a call back and they'll open a shipment issue, where they'll ship via a different carrier and use expedited shipping, and also offer accommodations.

Guess tomorrow will be the day.

After tomorrow, they either make a TON of people happy or offer a **** ton of accommodations.

Okay I will keep that in mind too..

Okay so last night around 2:00am pst ups said my delivery date was 9/22,a day earlier than I was originally quoted from ups. Now this morning I wake up to an exception saying my package is being held for one business day. I'm assuming because they want to make the original delivery date of 9/23. So weird.

Delivery date is also "unavailable"

Well, if my doesn't show up today I'll have to give them a call. As for accommodations....I want a pepperoni pizza:extra cheese, a six pack of Blue Moon*Belgian white and tix to the superbowl.

If they'll just give me a firm delivery date (even if it's next Friday), I will quit obsessing and move on with my life. I'm quite aware there are bigger "fish to fry" in the world. But company loyalty should go both ways in the capitalistic world we live in. If i get up in the middle of the night to pre-order your product and agree to pay you a lot of $$$ for it, then you as the company should reward my loyalty with reliable delivery dates that recognize such, especially when I order just a couple minutes after the pre-order site (which was hard to get into) went live. Time stamp x:13.
