I don't buy that either. Because what is the chances that my phone was held up by customs in both China for 48 hours and now Incheon or another 24? Again, it is really easy for a rep to say on the phone that it's being delayed for a security scan because there is no way for you to prove or disprove it. And we all know companies always tell the truth right?

Either way... Apple has absolutely nothing to do with it. Once they give the product to UPS it is completely out of their hands.

UPS99 is now gone from both sites.

That's part true and part wrong. Imagine apple giving an order with the statement "deliver as such or we'll take our business to another shipper". They have more control than people give them credit for. $ MILLIONS of control points

Agreed. We know that's not true. UPS keeps referring to Apple Special Operations Procedures and cites that sometimes for the cause of delays when they aren't citing Customs as the cause.

I will say. The last call that I had with UPS was interesting. The first lady I spoke to ask me if this was for an iPhone 7. Then she told me that they have a different department to deal with that issue and transferred me to somebody else... The person that she transferred me to told me that it would be delivered tomorrow but that she couldn't give me any information on where it was and that I should just keep checking UPS.com for scan update.

Where did I say apple did have anything to do with the shipping issues? If your referring to me talking about it, it was in reference to someone else saying Apple was intentionally delaying shipments. I believe this shipping problem is entirely UPS related.

I see that too... I HIGHLY doubt it would happen, but do you think fedex and ups ever team up and consolidate shipments onto a single plane? There is a fedex flight that left 2 hours ago (about same time) headed for Alaska, same model plane too. Doubt it, but maybe.

Or maybe they are taking iphone planes off tracking some how, or maybe the guy who I talked to this morning was right, there is some flight going straight from China or korea to Louisville now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That is my thoughts as well.

On the whole "Apple delaying to match their Estimated Delivery Date..." idea, I don't think that is true, as my Est. Date is 9/23 but my phone just went "Out for Delivery" and 'Unknown' changed to today.

I'm really hoping that my package tagged along with yours on the way to Milwaukee. I'm in Chicago so I really hope that my package is in the states. What was the last update you had? I'm still stuck in Incheon at 8:01 PM.

Mine just changed to this within the last ten minutes. Oh boy.

A mechanical failure has delayed delivery. We're adjusting plans to deliver your package as quickly as possible.

Yup, incredible huh any estimated delivery from ups yet? Or still same na

When I changed it to pick up at UPS CC, the status changed and has remained at unavailable however Apple since the beginning, has my estimated delivery for tomorrow 9/23. That hasn't changed since my 9/19 shipping confirmation

Guys, you need to calm down and not get so stressed out about this. (referring to people who are upset about ship times, not actual problems with the process)

IMO, people wouldn't be nearly as upset if they changed when/how we received information.

Just imagine this...You get an e-mail from Apple, your phone has shipped you'll receive it on 9/26, but UPS does not give you any information until it hits the US (or your final destination country). You'd get it the same time as you'll receive it now, but you wouldn't be hanging over every detail about which country it's in or what the next flight leaving is.

Your phone is going to arrive and for 99% of us it'll arrive before you NEED it and for 100% of us (that have already shipped, with no bugs) it'll arrive before our original delivery window. Please keep things in perspective, Apple and UPS want to deliver your phone to you in a reasonable time frame, but there are only so many flights and so many employees that can work to get things delivered. There are probably a dozen things we don't even think about that creates additional challenges along the way. It's a phone, for most of us it's an upgraded version of the phone we already have and whether we have it today, next week or next month it's not going to change our lives.

What is making me crazy is my former former boss, who didn't preorder, WALKED INTO AN APPLE STORE AND LEFT WITH AN IPHONE 7+ 256 ON SATURDAY. Matte black, sure. Whereas I preordered, as soon as the store opened, and I'm sitting here with everyone in this thread wondering why the hell my phone is playing the hokey pokey in East Asia. It is BS, plain and simple. As someone who did production and manufacturing/process engineering for six years prior to my current job, this type of thing is absolutely unacceptable and it's pissing off the consumer, which is the one thing you do not want to do as a commercial entity.
