Well this is some junk. One is delayed in Louisville and won't be delivered today and the other is still sitting in Incheon. So one is officially late however you want to look at it and the other I was never given a delivery date to start with. Just said shipped and has never had a delivery date. Problem I have with all of this is that once you are charged for it and it is marked as shipped it is your property and you have an expectation of receiving your property in a timely manner. Losing 72 hours sitting in China and Incheon doesn't seem timely to me.

To those saying it's still coming before your original order window and to relax, yada yada yada, that goes all out the window once you are charged for it and it has shipped. The delivery window was moved up by Apple. Doesn't matter to me what my original window was, it is now what was stated in my new email and shipping info. By watching these forums and flights, we all know that it should take between 48-72 hours to receive these once shipped.

And for UPS saying that Apple is delaying the shipment of this certain date group on purpose, that makes absolutely no business sense. Launch day has come and gone. Why would you purposely delay getting your product to your paying customers who preordered your product with the intent of getting it on launch day or as near it as possible? Just to upset your customers with no real real upside? Not a good business model IMO. Much more likely to me is that UPS royally screwed the pooch on this and the info we got last week of there being a huge mistake in Asia caused by UPS is way more likely to me. They would never admit to it publicly and could certainly cause huge delays if say the delay was because they didn't pick up any shipments for an entire day and don't have the resources to make up for that mistake currently.

Apple instructed UPS to make the whole flight disappear.

Since we don't have any idea where our iPhones really are, following every flight 99 hoping that our phones will be on it seems odd. Your phone could be sitting in Louisville, Alsaka, or out for delivery. No way of trusting the info we are seeing UPS site or app because at minimum it's stale information as it hasn't been updated in 24 hours, and also because Apple may have instructed them to not update it anymore. What do 10 new flights have to do with our phones that might not be in Korea anymore?

At this point I'm focusing on hoping it shows up today (very unlikely) or tomorrow on Apple's delivery date from original shipping email. I'm not trusting UPS site anymore. I'll stil, refresh it 1000 times today just to cover my bases. Lol

Apple is not holding up items that have already been shipped. UPS is having hold ups with customs in South Korea.

That is my thoughts as well.

On the whole "Apple delaying to match their Estimated Delivery Date..." idea, I don't think that is true, as my Est. Date is 9/23 but my phone just went "Out for Delivery" and 'Unknown' changed to today.

Did all of your tracking info update at once??

Could not say that any better myself!!!!!

I understand your frustration but damn, it ain't even October yet and this is an oct4-10 delivery date thread. We're being overly obsessive about our phones coming early, not late. Literally, first world problems.

You're correct. The original dates were listed as 10/4 - 10/10. But none of us changed the target delivery dates to 9/21, 9/22 or 9/23. Apple and UPS did. They updated the expectations, and people are reacting to the "failure to deliver" on the new dates that Apple/UPS provided. Not arguing with you, merely giving some context to the frustrations that are being expressed here.

As I stated earlier, the 10/4-10 dates are fine, as far as they go. And if Apple/UPS is going to meet them, fine. But don't raise the expectations by providing newer/earlier dates and then not deliver.

I completly agree. But to return the phone in a huff over it seems pretty silly.

I will still hold on to the tomorrow date, chalk it up to Apple wanting to do their staggered launches/delivery dates. Maybe they could not hold everyone's and some got earlier. If the phones dont arrive as promised on 9/23- then EVERYBODY gets pitchforks and it's hellfire and brimstone time.

For those with a UPS CC pick up, do you know if we're able to do so on a Saturday? Our flight out of Korea is way delayed so thinking it might not get to us by tomorrow :(
My ups center says mon - Friday 10-4

Yours may be different. Just got a text that mine is waiting for me!! I started out in the September 19th group. Originally scheduled for 22nd through UPS and 23 through Apple. Have gone from "on schedule" to being redone" to "on schedule" again.

I hope everyone else who started with this September 19 group gets theirs soon!

Like Miles64 said (feels like days ago) now I want to keep checking the site here to see when everyone else really gets there phones!

I don't buy that either. Because what is the chances that my phone was held up by customs in both China for 48 hours and now Incheon or another 24? Again, it is really easy for a rep to say on the phone that it's being delayed for a security scan because there is no way for you to prove or disprove it. And we all know companies always tell the truth right?

This has me worried now because I didn't leave the Apple auth at home thinking no movement on my tracking meant it wouldn't be there today. I was going to schedule it to be picked up once it started moving again since it would be tomorrow and I can't be home for it. I have it set to leave at my door in MyChoice but not sure if that will override the required apple auth. My luck it will miraculously change to out for delivery here in the next hour.

Seems like a canned response to assuage any fears when in reality they have absolutely no clue what is happening.

My Apple date is tomorrow, but the only hope was getting on that flight to Anchorage this morning. Now that it's delayed, I don't see how I could get it before Monday.
