Roll call - Oct. 4th - Oct. 10th original ship date

Yea I know the difference of the estimated original delivery date and the delivery date once shipped. I'm not an idiot. Once the package ships I really don't think an Oct 4th date is reasonable anymore. I'm not blaming Apple, I am blaming UPS.

Hard to get them delivered when they're collecting dust in Korea. Gotta get them here before they can be delivered to us. If they weren't on a flight over here already today then they won't get here in time to get deliver tomorrow.

Pretty sure we have every provider mixed in here, but we're all largely 128 and 256 jet black devices it seems like. I've got a VZW device coming, but I'll be using it on TMo (I am a current VZW account holder; cancelling as soon as my phone is activated - I didn't work any black magic).
 
I am about to scream at how ridiculous this situation keeps getting. Like really, both parties are pointing fingers at each other. Both are giving different answers and sad excuses, with NO evidence to corroborate it. It's insane at how incompetent this is getting really!

Multiple Apple reps have specifically told me to open up a claim if my delivery date is missed. It doesn't matter when they said they'd get here when we bought the phone. Apple gave us a delivery date. If that date isn't made, that's an issue

This is factually incorrect. The shipping estimate at time of order was 10/4-10/10 once the orders moved to shipped Apple gave everyone dates for delivery most of us getting a date of 9/23. I was told on Wednesday by Apple that if I do not receive my phone on the 23rd to call back at 8 PM local time and they would figure out how to fix the situation.

The date that Apple gives an order once it ships is the date that matters. Not when you placed the order and not from UPS.
 
BTW, I'm a Nexus 6 owner who is just switching to an iPhone for the first time. Not a good start to my iPhone experience!

That is the day they shipped it... they still didn't change the arrival date... :) no promise broken by Apple.

Again you are wrong. The 4/10-10/10 date no longer matters once the package ships and that date is not pulled from UPS tracking if it did mine for example would have said 9/21 and the. 9/22. But no it has said 9/23 since my package shipped.

I just want it before we come back to Disneyland next week! My husband said possibly next Tuesday but most likely leaving Wednesday morning. I live about miles from UPS in Chula Vista and usually am one of the last drop offs when they are heading back.

ThAt was the tracking info Apple last got... they have nothing to update it with... that is still tracking... your order states 4-10.... and honestly it's not even the 23erd yet so UPS still has not broken their promos... all though they are likely to... that date will change when Apple gets updated info from UPS...


Go ahead and try to get some compensation from Apple before 0ct 10 and see what they tell you... I'll let them piss on your leg.
 
For those that are saying Apple hasn't broken any dates yet...realize that not all of the people in this thread are October 4-10 people. My date has always been tomorrow ever since I ordered because I paid the extra $10 for expedited shipping. Otherwise I would be one of the September 26-29 people. im just posting in this thread because it has way more activity than the other one.
