Sure, but it doesn't change the fact that many members won't get the rose gold-colored aluminum because it's too pink.
And that's fine. The only purpose of the thread was to address the claim that the "rose gold" name is misleading because it does not accurately represent real rose gold, when in fact, rose gold is a broad term that can apply to even alloys of gold that well and truly appear pink.

Pretty. My wife is totally going to dig on it (me too for that matter) :)

We flipped this time, I was white/silver, went black/SG for my 6S+, she went from black to white/Rose Gold. I almost certainly want to get her a clear (or frosted) case to show off the color :)

Fair enough. Some members are rationalizing that since real rose gold looks copper, artificial rose gold-colored aluminum can't look pink. At least you're proving them wrong.

Yeah I mean, if the 6s was like peptobismol pink and they were calling it 'rose gold', I would not be defending their naming choice...

Let me quote one of my favorite movies:

"This... stuff? Oh... ok. I see, you think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet and you select out, oh I don't know, that lumpy blue sweater, for instance, because you're trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back. But what you don't know is that that sweater is not just blue, it's not turquoise, it's not lapis, it's actually cerulean. You're also blindly unaware of the fact that in 2002, Oscar de la Renta did a collection of cerulean gowns. And then I think it was Yves St. Laurent, wasn't it, who showed cerulean military jackets? And then cerulean quickly showed up in the collections of eight different designers. Then it filtered down through the department stores and then trickled on down into some tragic Casual Corner where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin. However, that blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs and so it's sort of comical how you think that you've made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry when, in fact, you're wearing the sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room. From a pile of... stuff."

iPhone 6s Case, Spigen® [Neo Hybrid EX] PREMIUM BUMPER [Rose Gold]

It doesn't really matter. Apple wanted to make a pink iPhone, but they had to have a color name that sounds nice. Rose gold makes it sound nicer than pink, and people like nice sounding things. Also, the image of gold makes it seem like it's premium and worth more.

My wife's a doctor and she's getting rose gold. I think the days of a color defining your professional image are loooooooong gone...

I don't think I'd want to do business with people who make snap judgements based on the color of one's phone.

For anyone that might have thought "that's not rose gold, that's pink!", remember that gold in any variety comes in varying shades and tones. Not all yellow gold is the same yellow and an even larger discrepancy exists in the color of different compositions of rose gold. Depending on the light and the metal content, rose gold can range from a deep copper color, to a very subtle pink.

Here are some images (I tried my best to find some that weren't renders)
Right, so...pink it is then.

What's your point? The photos were pink, pink, pink, pink, and pink. Somebody on the street who doesn't know or care about this fad (most people) will look at the phone, and if they care enough to notice, will think that it's a pink phone.

All I know is I would not want a new iPhone in the color in any of those images. Might be pretty to some but being in the business world it would never be good for me in the board room.

This comment made me chuckle. The "board room" .... and "being in the business world" .... nobody has said either of these phrases in 20+ years ... so my guess is you must work for some small\old fashioned company, or you're just way behind the times. But then again, your comment matches the mentality I think of when I think of companies of mindset-past. LOL

LOL, I don't know of any modern companies who wouldn't welcome phone-color-diversity ... but the guy says "i wouldn't want this in the board room" sounds like his company is stuck in 1965... Hey, let's get together and go to the board room and discuss the Johnson account... LOL

I was at the Apple store earlier today and I asked to see the new rose gold apple watch and the guy there said they are the same color as the iPhone. I just wanted to see the color in person and I think it looks amazing. It is a little more "pink" than I thought but it cemented my decision on the phone. Im glad I ordered the rose gold 6s +

Yup, pink.

Glad it made you happy, by the way.

Oh gosh this looks really pink... I ordered rose gold and I'm not sure how to feel now.

Only if people realized this.. It's interesting though, how Pink was once a guy's color and blue was gals'...

Nice, thanks, I did actually already find that one :) Pretty much my "go to" brands are like Spigen, Elago, Moshi ... I almost like it better completely clear, so the only color is from the phone itself. This two week delay after pre-order is at least good for figuring out cases, accessories and whatnot :D

Yet in other pictures not so pink.

You're gonna have to go in store and see for yourself. Or order the rose gold dock which will get to you faster. LOL.

In all seriousness, I think the last time your phone color/style = business savvy was the Blackberry pre-iPhone. And then only because it meant you were serious about email! Whoo email on your phone! With a keyboard! And people being able to contact you while your traveling internationally on the company dime with BBM. But look at where Blackberry is at now. In the same place as that mentality.....
